Madison Beer gave an interview to Rolling Stone on December 19, 2024, where she discussed her top three albums of the year. As Madison named Short n’ Sweet, Eternal Sunshine, and Hit Me Hard and Soft as her favorites, social media users reacted to her choice.
When asked about her opinions on music and which albums she loved the most this year, Madison Beer responded:
“Oh, girl. My god. I mean, off the top of my head. My top three, in no order: Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft and Charli XCX’s Brat, obviously. The girls are girling, and I just love it. I’m probably also not thinking of so many others.”
She concluded by saying how she got a lot of time to listen to new music this year, as she was on her tour, which allowed her to enjoy the new tracks. However, as soon as the news about Madison Beer’s new favorites reached the masses, many X users began reacting.
As a user, @PopBase posted the news on the platform, another user responded:
“Definition of taste.”
Others also agreed with her choice of top 3 and commented:
“Oh she has taste,” wrote an X user on the post.
“OH SHE SPILLED HEAVILY!!! Literally 3 of my most streamed albums this year!” claimed one more.
“She’s so real like they are THE top albums of the year,” mentioned another.
On the other hand, many others were taken aback, as they noticed how Madison Beer had not mentioned Brat in her Top 3.
“Notice how brat wasn’t mentioned,” commented one social media user.
“I don’t see cowboy cartwheel or brat,” noted an X user commented.
“No cowboy carter ?? Ye she’s racist,” added another.
“I'm so happy for these women”— Madison Beer talks about being nominated with Charli XCX, Ariana Grande, and Troye Sivan for the 2025 Grammys
During an interview with Rolling Stone, Madison Beer was asked about her feelings regarding her nomination for the 2025 Grammys alongside Charli XCX, Ariana Grande, and Troye Sivan. She responded by stating how she was “so excited right when it came out” that she did not even notice who all were there on the list.
Talking about how she does not feel a sense of competition from these women, Madison Beer claimed that while she understands that everyone wants to take home a Grammy, she believes in “supporting each other.” Madison said:
“I’m so happy for these women. It’s feeling like people are really into the “supporting each other” of it all and not feeling like it’s a competition. That’s something I’ve seen people talk about, and that’s something that feels really important to me, because I hate the notion that we’re all competing for the Number One spot. I think there is room for everybody.”
For the unversed, Madison Beer has been nominated in the Best Dance Pop Recording category for her song, Make You Mine. Competing with her are Charli XCX for Von Dutch, Billie Eilish for L’Amour De Ma Vie, Ariana Grande for Yes? And?, and Troye Sivan for Got Me Started.
Madison Beer is best known for her albums Life Support and Silence Between Songs, both released last year. This year, the singer has been occupied with her The Spinning Tour, which started in February 2024 and concluded in September 2024.
During this time, Madison performed in various countries like Sweden, Norway, Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and England.
