After Donald Trump won the 2024 U.S. presidential election, the news of Beyonce allegedly cutting the red states from her upcoming tour became viral on Facebook. According to the same report, the publicist for the Cowboy Carter singer said that she has decided to stay away from the states that "continue to support divisive and regressive leaders." However, it is important to note that the rumors are untrue.

It all started when a Facebook page called SpaceX Fanclub uploaded a post on November 10, stating that Beyonce allegedly took the decision after Trump's victory. The post also had a caption that read,

“Beyoncé Announces Red State Boycott. "I Won’t Perform in Those States."”

For the unversed, the red states are the states won by the Republicans in the last four elections. Meanwhile, in the picture, Beyonce is seen hugging Vice President Kamala Harris alongside a photo of some of the red states.

Additionally, the post has gathered 457 comments and 766 reactions so far, giving internet users the impression that Queen B actually boycotted the red states from her concert tours. However, this is not true, as there is no official news about it.

Furthermore, the Facebook page is known for sharing hoaxes and satirical news. Its bio states:

"We post SATIRE, nothing on this page is real."

The article stating the alleged news belongs to a satirical website called Esspots, which claimed on November 10 that the Grammy-winning artist’s publicist first made the announcement. As per the same report, in her statement, Beyonce allegedly said:

“This is bigger than music. I won’t perform in states where basic human rights and values are ignored. It’s time to use my platform to stand for something more than entertainment.”

The same source stated that following this, many fans, particularly those who reside in red states, reportedly found Beyonce's declaration to be upsetting. As a result, disappointed fans took to X to request her to change her mind using hashtags like #BeyComeBack and #BoycottTheBoycott.

According to the same article, the singer's management team had reportedly alluded to a "revised" tour schedule that would highlight towns that support her "commitment to social justice and equality."

It further stated that according to people close to her, she allegedly intended to host only pop-up events, meet-and-greets, and exclusive performances in places that "stand on the right side of history."

It further noted that fans are reportedly clamoring to join what some are referring to as the "first-ever progressive concert tour," and this decision has allegedly caused a surge in ticket sales in the blue states.

However, the entire piece of news is misleading and misguiding. The site itself is famous for uploading fake and imaginary news. The description of Esspots also states:

“Welcome to the US page of Esspots (A Subsidiary of SpaceXMania.com specializing in Satire and Parody News), your one-stop destination for satirical news and commentary about the United States of America. Our team of writers and editors is dedicated to bringing you the latest and greatest in fake news and absurdity, all with a healthy dose of humor and satire.”

Furthermore, no such official announcement has been made as of yet. Meanwhile, the rumor started circulating two weeks after Beyonce endorsed Harris. On October 25, Friday, the singer joined the Vice President at her Houston rally and gave her endorsement for the presidential candidate.

"I'm not here as a celebrity. I'm not here as a politician.. I'm here as a mother, a mother who cares about the world our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided, our past or present or future."

Nevertheless, after the recent election result, Harris lost to Trump, which made the latter the president-elect. Trump is now all set to take over the office on January 20 during his inauguration ceremony.
