On October 1, 2024, Diddy's ex-bodyguard Joseph Sherman aka Big Joe addressed the allegations of r**e levied against him and the rapper by Thalia Graves, to NBC New York.

Thalia accused the Last Night rapper and Joseph of r**ing her in 2001 at the Manhattan headquarters of Bad Boy Entertainment. She also alleged that she was drugged by the two and that the assault was filmed with its footage being sold as p**nography later.

As per NBC New York, Joseph Sherman showed Instagram DMs reportedly connected to Thalia Graves from November 2023. In the DMs, Diddy's ex-bodyguard was asked to confirm if he was "Big Joe" and then call a number. The text also read:

“If you will be my witness against Diddy, then my attorneys will leave you out of any proceedings. Because we have statements that you physically showed over eight people videos of me and you to people in the studio.”

While Joseph declined the offer on the DMs, he further told the publication:

“I am nothing but a scapegoat for this BS because I wouldn’t lie on Puffy— Sean Combs.”

"She wanted to get Diddy"- Rapper's ex-bodyguard comments on Thalia Graves' lawsuit

On September 24, 2024, Thalia Graves and her attorney Gloria Allred announced her federal lawsuit during a news conference revealing details of her accusations against Diddy and his ex-bodyguard Joseph Sherman.

During the press conference, Thalia alleged that the pain after being s*xually assaulted has been "incredibly deep and hard to put in words". She said it goes beyond physical harm and that the pain reached the core of who she is.

However, in his interview with News 4 New York, Joseph Sherman denied the allegations and mentioned he wasn't in the city during the timeline of the alleged attack. He stated:

“I am not questioning her integrity. I am just questioning her claims against me. You got the wrong man. I wasn’t even in the same room with you, I have never seen you. I wasn’t even in New York that I recall at the time.”

Joseph shared that he wasn't employed by Diddy in 2001 and that he worked as a security for Bad Boy Entertainment in the 1990s. The I Need A Girl rapper's ex-bodyguard also alleged that Thalia Graves was doing all this for money and said:

“Her and whoever she’s in cahoots with was orchestrating a money grab. And she wanted me to be part of that money grab. She wanted to get Diddy."

The rapper was arrested on September 16, 2024, at a hotel in New York and is currently facing charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution.

The rapper is also accused of allegedly inducing male and female s*x workers into drugged, s*xual performances called "freak-offs". However, the rapper has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently awaiting his trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
