Diddy’s son, Christian King Combs, reviews indictment in courtroom amid father’s legal battle
On Tuesday, Christian King Combs attended his father’s court hearing in Manhattan, arriving in a sharply tailored all-black ensemble mirroring his father's signature style. According to People, King was seated in an orange chair in the arraignment room, surrounded by seven men, and was observed reading the 14-page indictment outlining the allegations against his 54-year-old father.
According to the publication, the 14-page indictment reviewed by Christian King Combs detailed allegations that Diddy coerced women into "highly orchestrated performances," referred to as "Freak Offs." The indictment further alleges that during these events, Diddy "distributed a variety of controlled substances to victims, in part to keep them obedient and compliant."
It also suggests that both Diddy and the victims would receive IV fluids to recover from the physical exertion and drug use involved in these incidents. These details were outlined in the indictment obtained by People.
After Combs's arrest on Monday, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a press conference that his indictment alleges he was involved in abusing and exploiting women and people for years in a variety of ways.
"The indictment alleges that Combs abused and exploited women and other people for years and in a variety of ways, as alleged Combs used force, threats of force, and coercion to cause victims to engage in extended sexual performances with male commercial sex workers, some of whom he transported or caused to be transported over state lines," Williams said.
In addition to the "Freak Offs" indictment, the federal agencies allege that during the Freak Offs time, Diddy was engaged in violent acts, including “hit, kicked, threw objects at, and dragged victims, at times, by their hair,” which caused them wounds or marks that would take days or weeks to heal, reports People.
Additionally, in March 2024, during federal raids on Combs' residences in Miami and Los Angeles, law enforcement agents reportedly seized a variety of items described as "Freak Off" supplies. According to the indictment, these included narcotics and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant, which were confiscated during the raids.
In response to the charges and allegations, Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told the Mirror that his client is innocent and that Combs "voluntarily relocated to New York" to anticipate the charges. The lawyer further requested to refrain from judgments until all facts are displayed.
"He is an imperfect person, but he Is not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation, and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgement until you have all the facts," Agnifilo said.
According to The Mirror, Combs and his legal team offered $50 million (£38 million) for bail pending the start of his trial, but the request was denied. Additionally, his sons, including King, did not engage with the media and discreetly exited through the rear of 500 Pearl Street shortly after Judge Robyn Tarnofsky's ruling was announced.
As the legal proceedings progress, fans and supporters watch closely, waiting to see how the case unfolds and how the Combs family will respond to these challenging circumstances.
