On Sunday, October 20, singer and rapper Usher urged the voters of Atlanta to cast their early ballots for Vice President Kamala Harris. At the rally, the singer expressed his support for Harris and said:
“We have the opportunity to choose a new generation of leadership for our country. We’re here to support the next President of the United States: Kamala, Kamala Harris, ladies and gentlemen.”
However, even though Kamala Harris received much support, not everyone agreed with the singer's endorsement. Netizens pointed out Usher's alleged connections to Diddy's "Freak-Off" parties.
Hence, when the video of the event went viral on X, netizens took to the platform to express their concern over this endorsement, as Usher was allegedly Diddy's friend.

“Diddy tapes got something to do with this whole thing”, wrote one X user.
Other netizens also said similar things, as one claimed that the rapper reportedly loved a "Diddy Party" and questioned Harris about the representation. Some alleged that Harris probably helped him get rid of the tapes that Diddy allegedly had of him.
“These @diddy tapes are making a whole bunch of celebrities come crawling out of the woodwork for Kamala. Interesting,” wrote one user.
“Is he really the one you want representing you ? He loves a Diddy Party and so did she apparently,” said another one.
“Kamala Harris probably promises him that Diddys tapes will go away,” claimed one user.
Others preached to the choir, with netizens alleging that Usher is reportedly related to Diddy's scandal, calling him the rapper's "protege," among other allegations.
“So, she's switching back and forth from the Epstein list to the Diddy list... And this is supposed to make me what to vote for her?” asked another X user.
“You mean Diddy’s protege? Yeaaaaa you can have his endorsement”, alleged another user.
“Usher is at the Heart of the P. Diddy scandal. He groomed Justin Bieber and then gifted Justin to Diddy,” one X user commented.
Usher recently supported Kamala Harris before the upcoming US election
Grammy winner Usher took to the stage at a rally in Atlanta on Saturday to support Kamala Harris as the country's next President. During the event, he emphasized Harris' dedication to diversity and her vision for a country that benefits everyone. He further said,
"I'm supporting Kamala Harris because she fights for everyone's rights and freedom. It doesn’t matter where you’re from. She has a vision for our country that includes everyone.”
He also claimed that he is rooting for Harris since she reportedly defends the freedom and liberties of all people. He then referred to her policies as a vision that provides everyone an opportunity to succeed, encourages small businesses, and makes investments in the communities and health.
Usher then told Atlanta that they have "work to do" to get the campaign through to the end. He further said:
“We can made a difference in this election Georgia, but we got to be committed to do it… We’ve lived through some very unfortunate realities of our past. However, we must learn from those moments and understand that the voice that we have makes the difference for what we want to see.”
Speaking to the Atlanta audience, the rapper emphasized the importance of the next election, stating:
"With just 17 days left, we have the chance to choose a new generation of leadership. I’m here to support the next president of the United States, Kamala Harris."
However, the rapper’s association with Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was accused of s*x trafficking and racketeering in September, caused him to come under fire. According to a story published by CBS News on August 7, 2017, he was also implicated in a court dispute where he was charged with exposing people to herpes.
As per an October 19, 2024, story by Tribune, a number of instances were resolved out of court, and Usher has refuted the allegations. However, as Harris's campaign progresses, the singer's relationship with Diddy is gaining attention.
