Ray J has been trending online after he posted a video on his Instagram Story on November 12, 2024, claiming that he was almost shot and killed. The clip went viral after Ray allegedly issued a threat to Dr. Jamal Bryant in another video.
In the second video, the singer referred to Bryant, stating that the consequences would be different if the recording of their interview got released anywhere. Notably, Ray did not disclose anything about the person who allegedly shot him, as he stated in the first video:
"N**ga just tried to shoot me. They tried to kill me and you want me to apologize? F*ck you."
A glimpse of Ray J's video was obtained by The Shade Room, prompting netizens to react in the comments section of their Instagram post. One of them addressed the clip where he spoke about Bryant and wrote:
"Didn't he just threaten a pastor?"
Similar responses continued below the post, with most users refusing to take Ray's words seriously. Some speculated that Ray was trying to get attention, while others stated they didn't care. Meanwhile, some netizens suggested Ray to get help from the authorities.
Ray J seemingly gave a warning to Dr. Jamal Bryant in another video
As mentioned, Ray J shared a few words for Dr. Jamal Bryant in a video shared before he posted another clip on Instagram. The clip was obtained by The Jasmine Brand on November 12, where Ray began by saying that he has a lot of love for Bryant. He continued:
"But if y'all play that interview, somebody getting snatched off the pulpit. Don't play the interview. It's not cleared. It was out of bounds. Me and Pastor Brian need to talk because the way I was treated was dirty and illegal. And I don't like it and I don't want nobody to play that f*cking interview. I don't care if you're from the church or not."
An official confirmation is currently awaited whether Ray J's alleged shooting and his threat to Bryant are linked. While Ray did not disclose the details of the interview he was speaking about, he stated that everyone needs to be respectful. He also mentioned that people should not make anyone feel like they are unsafe in a place where they were supposed to be safe. He continued:
"I'm telling you right now. We need to work it out coz if we don't, that's going to be a problem."
Also known as Jamal Harrison Bryant, his official website says he is a well-known pastor and works at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Georgia. He planned to represent as a Democrat in Baltimore but shortly canceled his campaign.
Ray J has been in the headlines recently after Diddy's sons, Quincy, Justin, and Christian, reportedly confronted him during a Halloween party organized by Tara Electra in Los Angeles last month. The alleged dispute happened as Diddy's sons were having trouble with the way Ray was speaking about their father, who was arrested in September this year, as per Complex.
