Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy released a five-minute diss track titled Smallest Man against country singer Zach Bryan. The Barstool personalities dropped the song following Bryan’s messy breakup with Barstool podcast host Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. The diss song has since been taken down from YouTube on copyright claims.

The song boasts the name Smallest Man in tribute to the nickname Portnoy gave Bryan following the latter’s breakup from LaPaglia. The country artist was also called “lyin,’” "ugly,” and “b***h” in the track. Other lyrics included:

“I said trust me, caught your pants on fire/ Tinder, Bumble, Raya, knew you was a liar/ You’re a d**che bag/ You just made a new rival/ Pretty soon you going to need a revival”

As per The Post, LaPaglia shared that she was “blindsided” by her breakup with Zach Bryan after dating for one year. She stated that the duo agreed on keeping their split quiet and did not expect him to take to his Instagram stories to announce their separation.

Portnoy and Richards were dressed as policemen with fake mustaches in the music video of the song. The video showed a man driving a pickup truck getting pulled over. Many opined that he looked similar to the 28-year-old country singer.

Dave Portnoy also mentioned Taylor Swift in the diss-song by crooning:

“Itty bitty Zach, sh*tty sh*tty tats/ Ugly in the face there’s no cure for that/ Country singing boss baby get that boy a snack/ Throw another temper tantrum, it’s time for a nap/ Think you’re on some sh*t tryna diss Taylor Swift, did a hundo ‘gram stories apologizing like a b***h.”

The lyrics were in reference to Zach Bryan initially taking to X to share his opinions of Kanye West being better than Taylor Swift, just to later apologize and state that he was inebriated at the time when he made the statement.

Several netizens had mixed reactions to the song, with many being shocked by the song being dropped. One reaction read:

“Little d**k vibes,” a netizen commented.

Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards’ Zach Bryan diss track gets taken down from YouTube

Dave Portnoy took to his Instagram stories to reveal that the song was taken down from YouTube on copyright claims, specifically related to the outro of the song. Addressing the same, Portnoy also said on X:

“Zach Bryan and @warnermusic must have the worst crisis management execs in the world. Running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to erase #smallestman from the internet.” Did nobody tell them I run an internet company? They just guaranteed this thing hits #1.”

Dave Portnoy also said on his Instagram stories that Warner Bros. Music owned Josh Richards’ music, subsequently leading to the song being taken down from YouTube as the organization owned his creations and could do so. Dave Portnoy said:

“I will write 10,000 diss tracks. I will go die in the booth. I will put the headsets on, I will come back spitting bars twice as hard… we’ll figure sh*t out, it may take 24 hours but the more Warner Music group act like little f**king pu*sies… the worse its going to get.”

Meanwhile, Brianna took to Instagram to reveal that she, Richards, and Portnoy were blocked by Bryan on the social networking site prior to the songs’ release.

Zach Bryan was married to Rose Madden between 2020 and 2021 prior to getting into a relationship with Brianna.
