Rick Ross has landed himself in another legal problem after a disabled man named Darris Straughter filed a lawsuit against him. The case is related to the 3rd Annual Rick Ross Car & Bike Show, which Straughter was supposed to attend on June 1, 2024.

Straughter is seeking damages for what he had to undergo after arriving in Georgia. He has accused Ross of breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violating the Americans with Disabilities Act. He has also requested better accommodations for disabled individuals at future events.

According to the legal documents, Straughter could not attend the event since the organizers never arrived to pick him up. Notably, Straughter suffered an injury to the spinal cord in 2018, and he even got in touch with the organizers so that they could make traveling arrangements for him with a wheelchair-accessible shuttle.

The event was held at Rick Ross' property in Georgia, called The Promised Land. Straughter traveled from Miami to Georgia to attend the event. However, when the shuttle did not arrive for him, he eventually returned to the hotel.

Apart from Straughter, many other people have expressed their disappointment regarding the services provided at the time of the event on social media. Straughter's attorney, John Hoover Esq., stated that they have not received a refund even though the organizers have promised to issue refunds to those who could not attend the event.

Meanwhile, Rick Ross has yet to share a response to the lawsuit, and further updates are currently awaited.

Rick Ross was attacked after a performance in Vancouver this year

Also known as William Leonard Roberts II, he was attacked in Vancouver after performing at the Ignite Music Festival on June 30, 2024. The incident was reportedly linked to his performance on Kendrick Lamar's diss track, Not Like Us.

Although Rick Ross has not addressed the incident from his side until now, videos of the attack went viral on social media. In the clip, he was seen getting into a dispute with other people. The argument eventually resulted in a brawl where an anonymous person hit Ross in the face.

50 Cent was the only artist to respond to the incident publicly. In a video posted by DJ Akademiks, 50 Cent stated that he is expecting Ross to be safe. He added:

"I hope that he now has a different perspective and a better sense of what to do and what not to do while you're out in the world."

50 Cent even addressed a moment from the viral footage of the incident and said:

"That part where that young guy went like – he did this little move and sh*t and got knocked the f*ck out – that does not reflect him. That reflects his camp."

Furthermore, Cent posted the footage of the attack on Instagram on July 1, 2024, describing the entire moment as "The Great Escape." Notably, further details are yet to be revealed on how Rick's performance on Not Like Us led to such a big dispute.
