At the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, DJ Snake surprised attendees by inviting rapper 50 Cent as a guest performer on Sunday, April 21. The rapper was met with thunderous applause as he joined the DJ to perform a medley of his hit songs at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
Throughout his set at Coachella, DJ Snake brought out several other performers, including Robin S, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the festival. From April 12 to April 14 and April 19 to April 21, music enthusiasts were treated to a diverse lineup of artists, with headliners such as Lana Del Ray, Tyler the Creator, and Doja Cat captivating audiences with their performances.
DJ Snake and 50 Cent teamed up for Coachella weekend 2
Weekend 2 at Coachella stirred excitement among attendees with surprise performances from high-profile rappers and hip-hop stars like Big Sean, Tyga, and Omarion, to name a few. One of the standout moments of the night occurred when 50 Cent made an unexpected appearance, joining DJ Snake for a surprise collaboration on stage on Sunday, April 21.
According to Desert Sun, DJ Snake introduced 50 Cent as his special guest for his set by saying, "Make some noise for 50 Cent!" The iconic rapper joined the DJ to perform a medley of his hit songs, starting with Many Men (Wish Death).
Videos of his performances that circulated on social media also showed him performing his greatest hit song, In Da Club, to a seemingly excited crowd dancing and recording him on their phones.
Prior to his appearance at Coachella, 50 Cent took to Instagram to comment on performer Lil Uzi Vert's Coachella sartorial choices on stage. On April 20, he posted a screenshot of an article about Vert's costume headlined "Lil Uzi A City Girl: Onstage w/ his NAILS Painted and carrying PURSE!," with the caption:
"Something is in the water. what make you do that bro?"
According to NME, 50 Cent also showed his support on X for TiK ToK singer Kesha, who performed her hit song at Coachella with Reneé Rapp on April 14 with a change in the lyrics. The original lyrics paid homage to rapper Diddy with the iconic opening line, "Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy."
In light of Diddy's recent s*xual assault and trafficking allegations, Kesha deemed fit to change the lyrics to "Wake up in the morning like f*ck P Diddy."
DJ Snake collaborated with various artists at Coachella
During Coachella's first weekend, the DJ brought out several guests for his set. On April 14, singer Robin S joined him for a rendition of her 1990 classic Show Me Love, followed by Mexican singer Peso Pluma.
Pluma and DJ Snake also debuted a preview of their new song, Teka, released on April 17 via Interscope Records. The last surprise performer at the DJ's set was rapper Kodak Black, who performed his hit songs Super Gremlin and Tunnel Vision.
According to Desert Sun, DJ Snake will continue his run of headlining music festivals by performing at Malta's Isle of MTV 2024 in July along with Escapism singer Raye. Additionally, he is set to perform at the Storm Festival in China in May 2024, as well as a sold-out show at the Stade de France in Paris in May 2025.
