Sean "Diddy" Combs had recently been arrested on unspecified charges in connection to trafficking allegations. Meanwhile, on September 17, DJ Vlad shared a tweet on X, where he suggested that Combs should have fled to Russia as soon as he anticipated the arrest.
Trigger warning: The article contains references to s*x trafficking and s*xual abuse. Readers' discretion is advised.
The tweet further read:
"I've been saying this for the last couple of months in my interviews. Diddy should have fled to Russia as soon as he heard his arrest was possible. Instead, he spent his time hanging out in Harlem and Miami, thinking his money would protect him."
The post became viral since the time it was uploaded and had already garnered more than 10.6k views. Shortly before posting this viral tweet, Vlad even shared a poll on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the tweet, he asked a question that read:
"Now that he's indicted, how much time do you think Diddy will get?"
The options were probation, one year, five years, and ten years. About 3.9% of the voters believed that Combs would get a one-year sentence, while about 49% assumed that it would be a ten-year sentence. About 31.9% suggested that he would get probation and 15.2% speculated a five-year sentence.
As of now, the poll has received 824 votes and the tweet has been viewed more than 4,100 times at the time of writing.
Federal agents detained music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs from New York City
Amid several lawsuits accusing Combs of s*xual abuse and misconduct, he was indicted by a grand jury in connection to trafficking. As reported by NBC News, the hip-hop mogul was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel on West 57th Street, according to a representative.
His legal team had further expressed dissatisfaction with the decision of the jury that led to him getting indicted. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed that it was a sealed indictment, meaning the charges were not revealed to the general public. Williams added:
"We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time."
Marc Agnifilo, a lawyer for Diddy, however, stated that he believed that the charges would be of racketeering and s*x trafficking. The legal team further explained that while Combs could be an "imperfect person," he wasn't a criminal. Agnifilo further revealed additional details about the arrest.
He stated that the arrest took place at about 8.30 pm local time from the hotel, and it was the Homeland Security Investigations officials who detained him. Over time, Combs had faced several lawsuits. One of the recent ones was filed by Dawn Richard who claimed that the mogul had s*xually assaulted her.
She even shed light on the alleged allegations against Diddy regarding his former partner Cassie Ventura. According to Richard, she had witnessed him abusing Ventura. As of writing, Combs has not replied to any of DJ Vlad's tweets.
