Does Doja Cat have a lazy eye? Rapper seemingly calls out her father in fiery Instagram post

Doja Cat recently took to Instagram to seemingly diss her father and actor, Dumisani Dlamini. As fans are aware, the former has had an estranged relationship with her father. During her latest social media post, the Woman singer claimed that her father gave her a lazy eye after putting him on blast on the social networking site.

On May 26, Doja Cat posted two haphazard posts on Instagram. One of them included a closeup of her face with a shocked expression, while the second one was a picture of her derriere covered by a robe. The caption she had initially uploaded for the same included:

“I’m gonna turn you into my next project and you’re gonna have to listen to it for the rest of your godforsaken life.”

Immediately, many took to the internet to comment on her caption, with platform user _justdothemath saying -

“That’s so disrespectful…. do it again..”

In response, Doja Cat said:

“@_justdothemath gave me a lazy eye and dipped”

For those uninitiated, the singer, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, has spoken about having a lazy eye in the past as well.

Doja Cat addressed having a lazy eye in an Instagram Live in the past

Four years ago, the 28-year-old took to Instagram Live to tell followers that she had a lazy eye. The medical term is actually referred to as amblyopia, in which one experiences reduced vision in one eye, leading to it wandering inward or outward.

Speaking to fans on Instagram, Doja said:

“I have a lazy eye. But does that mean that my eye is lazy, there it goes. We’re all going to die. Does that mean… that my eye is lazy? Like am I not using it to its fullest potential? Am I not looking hard enough at things? Like do I need to hold up my eyeball muscles to keep you know?”

During the livestream, Doja Cat continuously patted her head in failed attempts to fix her lazy eye.

Despite the Grammy winner claiming that her father gave her a lazy eye, the latter has not addressed the same in the past.

After uploading the aforementioned social media post, she changed the caption multiple times, directly addressing her father at one point as well by saying:

“Dad, lemme know when/ if you need me to re-up your makeup cabinet cuz you a bit*h.”

While referring to Dumisani Dlamini, she also wrote:

“Dumisani Dlamini I got urban decay I got pat mcgrath labs i got fenty i got scott barnes, let me know. I got your back sis.”

The Agora Hills singer also took to the comment section of the social media post to comment on her father by saying:

“Go give that deadbeat a kiss on the lips for me.”

This is not the first time the musician has spoken about her father in public. Speaking about what it was like to have never met her father and the psychological impact it had on her, she said in a 2021 Rolling Stone profile:

“I felt confused a bit. It’s a little strange to see everybody else with their dad, and you didn’t even really have one.”

As per Hot New Hip Hop, Doja Cat had, at one point, also changed her X bio to “My dad’s a deadbeat but I did well.”

Despite Doja Cat claiming to have never met her father and having a strained relationship with him, Dumisani has denied the same. In a 2017 interview with TshisaLIVE, he stated that he was affectionate towards all of his children and also praised Doja for her career accomplishments.

He stated he is close to all of his kids and that he loves them all.
