Don Lemon recently addressed why Beyoncé and Jay-Z haven't taken legal action against Jaguar Wright for her accusations against them. Speaking to Piers Morgan on his show Uncensored last week, Wright voiced her thoughts about Sean "Diddy" Combs' recent arrest, claiming that he and fellow rapper Jay-Z were "monsters."

“For four years I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters,” she said.

However, on October 8, Morgan said the Carters' lawyers reached out to the show to remove the clip. This led many to question why the couple asked that the clip be removed but have not taken any legal action against Wright for defamation.

On October 10, Don Lemon clarified people's doubts regarding the topic.

"Why isn't Jay-Z and Beyonce threatening to sue Jaguar Wright? Jaguar Wright, probably, is what legal people call judgement proof, meaning there's nothing to collect if you sue someone civilly, so why on earth would you sue them?" Don Lemon said.

Don Lemon added Piers Morgan had a responsibility to put "truthful people" on his platform

In the video, Don Lemon added that it was easy to dismiss Jaguar Wright's claims when she was speaking to a small number of people. He said that her choosing to go on Piers Morgan's show amplified her narrative to millions of people watching his interview worldwide.

Don Lemon also alluded to Uncensored removing the segment from their video.

"He [Morgan] had a responsibility on his platform to put on truthful people and if he doesn't he could lose millions of dollars, they could collect that. He could also lose his entire platform because they could sue him into oblivion, that's why," Don Lemon said.

On the October 8 episode of Uncensored, Morgan said Jay-Z and Beyoncé's lawyers contacted the show to say that Wright's claims against the couple were "totally false." He also publicly apologized to the couple for broadcasting the episode.

The following day, Jay-Z and Beyoncé's attorney, Alex Spiro said they sent an ultimatum to the show, not a cease and desist as some online sources claimed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ultimatum read:

“Remove that false accusation that’s demonstrably false, or a court’s going to order you to.”

Jaguar Wright claimed she had three victims ready to testify against the Carters

During the now-deleted segment on Piers Mirgan's Uncensored, Jaguar Wright alleged Jay-Z and Beyoncé had at least a thousand victims, and she had spoken to at least a hundred. She also claimed she had three victims ready to testify against the couple.

“I have three victims right now who are willing to give testimony on not only what what Mr. Carter has done to them, but his wife as well. They’re a nasty little couple. They do nasty things," she said.

She alleged the couple kept people against their will and put them on planes while unconscious. Wright also alluded to the couple being involved in the late singer Aaliyah's death, who died in a plane crash in 2001.

According to a 2021 biography about the singer, she was given a pill to calm her down before her flight. She allegedly fell asleep after taking the pill and was carried into the plane.

Jaguar Wright's recent claims came after Jay-Z's close relationship with Diddy fell under public scrutiny after the latter's arrest in September. Diddy's trial date was set for May 2025 during his hearing on October 10.
