Drake is known for his mirror selfies on social media, with many critics often mocking him for his selfie face. However, the Canadian rapper cited former rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden, who famously feuded with him in 2016, as a person who "influenced" his particular brand of selfies.

On August 28, 2024, Drake posted a carousel of pictures on his Instagram page, including three selfies of him and a photo of YouTuber Duke Dennis and Budden from when they were younger. In his picture, Budden is sitting on a beach, with his hands clasped to mimic a handgun. The post was captioned:

"I’m not aware of my picture or mirror face it’s a curse from birth and I’m influenced by what I see."

A netizen commented on Budden's pose in his picture, calling the "2 hand gun" posture at the beach "nuts." Drake jestingly responded to the comment, referring to Budden's pose as "zaney."

Many joined in on the levity in the comments section, poking fun at Duke Dennis and Joe Budden's pictures.

"Duke dennis slide crazy."
"Second slide took me out."
"Lmaooo I wasn’t ready for the 3rd slide."
"Slide 3 caught me off guard but next time I'm at the beach I know which pose to hit."

"Talking about this publicly is so brave."
"Very demure. Very mindful."

Joe Budden recently praised Drake for his new songs

It's no news that Drake and Joe Budden share bad blood. Their years-long feud began when Budden criticized the Canadian rapper's fourth album Views on his newly started podcast. The two also released diss tracks attacking each other in 2016.

Their feud restarted in 2023 after Budden once again disparaged Drake's music. The retired rapper had some qualms about Drizzy's new album For All The Dogs. In his October 8 podcast episode titled 8:45am in Fayetteville, Budden said the rapper should cater to his older audience more.

“You are 36. Your birthday is in 20 days. I Googled that, too. You’re going to be 37 years old. Get the f**k away from some of these younger n-----. And stop f**king these 25-year-olds… I want to hear adult Drake rapping for adult people,” he said.

Drake reacted to this, in a long Instagram comment calling Budden a "failure" for quitting rap to become a podcaster. Budden also believed he had a hand in Drake's "take down" following his rap battle with Kendrick Lamar in April and May 2024, which he revealed in an X Spaces conversation on June 24.

However, the podcaster has seemingly changed his mind about Drake. In a recent episode of his podcast, Budden praised the Canadian rapper for his three new tracks Supersoak (SOD), Circadian Rhythm, and No Face, uploaded on his 100 Gigs website on August 25, 2024.

Budden said he liked the production on the new songs, adding Drizzy was "doing a decent job now in post-battle recovery." He also touched on the speculations that the Canadian rapper was ready for "game 2" with Kendrick Lamar, saying he would enjoy a front-row seat if it ever came to fruition.
