Entrepreneur Dame Dash is on the verge of losing his stake at Roc a Fella Records after failing to pay a $800,000 settlement. Bidders interested in the 33.3 percent stake must bid a minimum of $1.2 million with a $240,000 deposit made immediately at the time of the sale. For the uninitiated, Dame Dash is the co-founder of Roc a Fella Records alongside Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke.
According to TMZ, Dame Dash’s stake is being sold by the U.S. Marshals Service, as he was initially ordered to pay $800,000 in 2022 after losing the copyright infringement and defamation case against filmmaker Josh Webber.
Webber claimed that Dash promoted his 2019 Dear Frank film and also attempted to pass it off as his own despite having stopped working with Webber.
