Rick Ross has been involved in a dispute with Drake for some time. The problems emerged from the latter's diss track Push Ups, where Drizzy seemingly targeted Ross alongside other rappers such as Kendrick Lamar, Metro Boomin, Future, and The Weeknd.

Ross recently addressed the beef after appearing for an interview on the podcast Caresha Please on September 13, 2024. Ross blamed Drake for starting the problems between them, and he addressed his name being mentioned in Push Ups by saying:

"Don't do that. Especially when it ain't about no real sh*t. But when you do that, OK then, that's how we gon' play, that's cool. I enjoy that. I could wake up every day and say, 'BBL Drizzy' or some more sh*t while I'm smoking a joint, listening to the waterfalls and all that sh*t, looking at the birds flock. That sh*t easy for me."

Many other Drake fans stepped into the comments to showcase their support for the rapper, with one of them claiming that Drake did not mention Rick's name in the song. Another person wrote that Rick was jealous of Drake, alongside another saying that Ross lied a lot. A section of the users was also spotted praising Caresha's appearance in the interview.

Rick Ross responded to Drake via another track making different claims

As mentioned, Drake's song Push Ups was seemingly targeted towards multiple artists, including Rick Ross. Push Ups came out in April this year, and the latter responded by releasing a diss track titled Champagne Moments the same month. A portion of the lyrics claimed that Drake underwent cosmetic surgery to change his nose.

The beef continued with Rick criticizing Drake in a few videos, where he was spotted in Drake's merchandise. In one of the clips, Ross was spotted inside a club with Drake's song playing in the background, and Rick said in the video:

"Yes, he wrote this. You would never guess who wrote this."

Drake and Rick's friendship dates back to 2010, when the former disclosed in an interview with XXL Magazine that Ross approached him for a collaboration. They began working together on different projects, such as Aston Martin Music and Made Men.

Drake later planned a collaboration with Ross in 2011, and it was seemingly titled Y.O.L.O. Although the duo continued their collaborations, there were certain issues between Drake and Ross due to Drizzy's feud with Meek Mill. Ross was later spotted supporting Mill on his beef with the Canadian rapper as he appeared on Drink Champs in 2016.

Rick Ross later gave an update on his joint album with Drake during an interview with Complex in 2020, describing it as a "vibe" and adding:

"You never know what could happen in the future, but me and Drake, him being in Miami at that time [in 2011-2012], and him coming by the crib every day, we was spending a lot of time together."
