Kendrick Lamar was recently named the 'Best Rapper Alive' for 2024 by Complex in their latest issue, which came out on December 18, 2024. Apart from Lamar, honorable mentions were given to artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Future, and Drake.

Lamar created headlines for various reasons this year, including his feud with Drake, as the duo released several diss tracks targeting each other. He seemingly emerged as the winner in his rap battle with Drake, as per Complex.

Moreover, he is also scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show next year. Additionally, Kendrick Lamar has seven nominations at the upcoming year's Grammy Awards in his list of accolades.

The rapper also dropped an album titled GNX last month, which arrived almost two years after the release of his previous major record, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. The latest soundtrack featured 12 singles and reached the top of the Billboard charts in a brief period.

Meanwhile, netizens on X took to the comments section of the post by NFR Podcast about the same, sharing their reactions to Lamar's latest achievement. One of them wrote:

"Drake really change his life."

Similar reactions continued, with a user saying that he had never achieved anything like he did this time, before his dispute with Drake. Kendrick Lamar's fans also replied below the post, with a netizen stating that Lamar deserved the title, along with another writing that he is the only one who should get it.

"Never heard this guy in any best rapper debates before his beef with Drake," an X user wrote.
"Deserved. This was one of his best years," a netizen stated.
"He's the only one. No runner ups or honorable mentions especially with the choices they made. Tyler is a goat but not Kendrick level. I'd put Jay Z or 3 Stacks there," another netizen reacted.

On the other hand, an X user claimed below the post that Drake is not a rapper, along with another commenting that Kendrick Lamar "ate up 2024." A fan of Lamar also used the word "king" to describe his achievement.

"Drake ain't no rapper," one of the reactions mentioned.
"Well deserved, he ate up 2024," an X user wrote.
"King Kendrick!" another user commented.

Kendrick Lamar creates a new record with three successive No. 1s

The Compton, California native was trending in the headlines after the release of his album GNX. Meanwhile, he was named the first artist to achieve three successive No.1s without interruption for three weeks on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as per Billboard on December 18.

Following the arrival of GNX, Kendrick Lamar released a collaborative single with SZA, titled Luther, on November 29, 2024. The single reached the first spot on the Billboard chart by replacing Lamar's song TV Off, which had previously taken over his other track, Squabble Up, on the same chart.

The above-mentioned singles are also included in GNX, while Luther is creating some additional records in terms of streaming numbers, already having surpassed 165 million streams on Spotify.
