Kendrick Lamar was one of those who performed at the Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) Christmas concert held on December 12, 2024. Apart from Kendrick, several popular faces from the music industry performed on stage, including GloRilla, SZA, and Doechii.

Notably, a video of Lamar's performance has been trending on different platforms. The clip shows the concert attendees, including small kids, recording Lamar on camera as he comes in front of them.

At one point, the audiences witnessing his performance start jumping and dancing and Kendrick Lamar also joins them. He continues singing on the mic at the same time. The rapper eventually gets surrounded by a group of people and he then holds a kid from the back while everyone who came to perform with him goes back to their respective places.

Meanwhile, netizens took to the comments section of an Instagram post shared by The Shade Room to react to the response received by Lamar's performance.

"Drake somewhere adding SZA and Doechii to the lawsuit," wrote a user.

The response refers to Drake's lawsuit against the Universal Music Group, which was filed last month, alleging that the record label used certain methods to boost the popularity of Kendrick Lamar's song Not Like Us on Spotify and other streaming platforms, as per the Associated Press. The diss track was released in May 2024 when Lamar and Drake had a feud, and they released several songs targeting each other.

On the other hand, people continued reacting below The Shade Room's social media post, with a user praising the response received by Lamar's performance, calling it a "peaceful community unity gathering." Another person appreciated Lamar's energy alongside a user expressing excitement for his GNX Tour.

Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul performed together at the TDE Christmas Concert

The Not Like Us rapper was initially not included among the list of artists confirmed to perform at the concert held in Watts, California, as reported by HipHopDX last month. However, the official poster stated that there were some special guests and the names were yet to be made official.

Kendrick Lamar has also worked with TDE in the past and the concert marked another collaboration with the record label. According to Rap-Up, TDE revealed on December 10, 2024, that Lamar would be performing at the concert.

As mentioned, Lamar's performance received a positive response and it grabbed a lot of attention, specifically for bringing Ab-Soul to the stage when he performed on the single Squabble Up. A video of both the rappers was also obtained by Complex Music where they were surrounded by a lot of kids as they performed together.

Tickets were available for free for all those who wanted to attend the event. However, attendees simply needed to have unwrapped items like clothes or toys, which would be donated to a child from the local area.

Kendrick Lamar will also perform alongside singer SZA as part of their upcoming Grand National Tour. Both artists have already shared an announcement through Instagram on December 3, 2024, and the tour is scheduled to start on April 19 next year, ending on June 18.
