DJ Akademiks has been trending online after he revealed all the alleged details about Lil Durk's bail package during a live session. Notably, Durk's legal team is trying to get him out of prison, and they have now filed a motion in Los Angeles to put him in home detention, as per Hot New Hip Hop. However, the court has dismissed the request.
During the live session, Akademiks addressed Durk's recent legal issue, where he was being linked to the murder of a man named Stephon Mack. The murder happened outside the Chicago-based Youth Peace Center in January 2022, based on an indictment unsealed on Wednesday, December 11, as per Chicago Tribute.

Akademiks said that Lil Durk had not been charged in the case until now and displayed the legal documents related to the same. The documents featured the names of Durk's attorneys, and there was a line that mentioned "devoted husband," referring to Durk. Akademiks alleged that Durk is married to India Royale and said:
"For everybody who wants to confirm, Durk is married. So Durk married India secretly, if you guys don't know. Durk and India, they are married. And you gotta realize, this is why he could say he's a devoted husband. It does read a little bit better if you don't know."
DJ Akademiks mentioned more details from the legal documents, which allegedly stated that Lil Durk should be granted pre-trial release on reasonable conditions, including a secured bond partially or full by $2.3 million equity in two homes in Georgia and $1 million in cash offered by Sony Music.
"He's down with home detention with electronic monitoring, around-the-clock security services ensuring compliance with all conditions, reporting to pre-trial services and additional third party sureties and guarantors to satisfy a bond amount that the court determines," Akademiks mentioned.

Lil Durk's trial is scheduled to happen in the upcoming year
Lil Durk, also known as Durk Devontay Banks, was taken into custody near Miami International Airport on October 17, 2024, as per USA Today. A grand jury indictment filed in California claimed that he assisted five members of his hip-hop group OTF in planning the murder of an individual referred to as T.B. in the legal documents.
The victim was alleged to be rapper Quando Rondo. While things went as planned, Rondo's cousin Lul Pab was killed in the incident that happened in 2022.
USA Today reported that during his appearance at a federal court in Los Angeles last month, Lil Durk pleaded not guilty to all the accusations. His trial is now scheduled to happen on January 7, 2025.
The charges against Durk include murder-for-hire resulting in death, along with using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun and possession of firearms to assist a crime of violence leading to death.
