Drake has once again grabbed the attention of the netizens. However, this time, it's not because of new music or a controversial statement. On 27 August, 2024, the 6 God took to Instagram to mock his own "selfie face".
He posted a series of pictures, with the first photo being of himself, the second of Duke Dennis, and the third of Joe Budden. Rapper-turned-podcaster Budden has had a long-standing feud with Drake. Fans and critics alike weighed in on the diss-cum-shoutout, with one quipping,

In the post, Drake was hinting at his reputation for dramatic mirror selfies. In the first image, the Passionfruit singer can be seen posing in his signature "mirror face," a pose that has been the subject of several memes. Referring to the following pictures of Duke Dennis and Joe Budden, Drake said that they were two of his "influences," and the irony was not lost on fans.
Drake captioned the photos, saying
"I’m not aware of my picture or mirror face it’s a curse from birth and I’m influenced by what I see."
Fans weighed in, mainly with humor and jabs about the infamous "duck lips."

Duke Dennis fires back at Drake
Duke Dennis himself replied with a light-hearted comment, to which the Hotline Bling rapper said that he's " a wild boy duke," for having someone else take his picture in the mirror. Duke clapped back, telling him he's "got a few pictures that give off the same vibe." The actor-singer also took shots at Budden in the comment section when he referred to the podcaster's “2 hand gun squat at the beach,” saying,
"double gun finger dip down is zaney. He’s headed back to the all inclusive and about to order a martini shaken not stirred casino royale ass pose in the Shawn Marion shorts.”
Budden, on the other hand, has not commented on the post, as of now.
The God's Plan singer's shout out to Budden comes on the heels of the latter sharing his own thoughts on the Canadian rapper. In a podcast that came out on August 28, 2024, Budden praised Drake's latest batch of songs which came out on his 100gigs.org site.
Notably, Budden was once a staunch critic, having worked with Kendrick Lamar on the diss track Not Like Us. Now, he says that Drake is doing "a decent job now in post battle recovery."
