Ray J discussed his friendship with Sean "Diddy" Combs in his new show, The Reality Check News, on October 8, addressing the latter's s*x trafficking charges and arrest. The singer started by admitting that Diddy was his friend, adding that he wanted to be the "voice of reason." He also said he believed in "innocent until proven guilty."

“Diddy was my friend. What do you do when you never seen all this s**t that people are talking about? Do you believe it? Everybody’s innocent until proven guilty?” Ray said.

Ray J also reacted to the various jokes that came Combs' way after authorities reportedly confiscated 1000 bottles of baby oil from his mansions during their raids in March:

“I see a lot of jokes out there right now talking about baby oil. Everybody got a joke about having about baby oil or lube. Is that okay? Is that the message?”

The singer claimed the industry was filled with people abusing their power once they got to the top, adding that their behavior exhausted him. He claimed he had a lot of names that fit the bill but won't be admitting them just yet.

Ray J predicts Diddy's arrest will affect many celebrities

During a September 30 interview with News Nations, Ray J added to the popular rhetoric that several A-list celebrities were allegedly involved in Diddy's reported crimes. Speaking to host Brian Entin, Ray claimed there was a crew of people on top making all the decisions, and when one falls, the entire system crumbles.

"I think that with the market in our world being so cornered and you have this crew of people at the top who make all the decisions, it's like a house of cards. When one falls, the whole deck comes down," he said.

He added that Combs' arrest would lead to many powerful people stepping down or being brought to light for similar accusations. Ray also questioned how the industry could move forward and what roadmaps were necessary to prevent this from happening again.

The rapper was not the only person who believed Combs allegedly had A-list-level accomplices. Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee also claimed that various celebrities were involved in Diddy's alleged crimes. In a press conference on October 1, Buzbee revealed he was representing 120 new accusers who have come forward with various allegations against the rapper.

In a recent TMZ interview, the lawyer claimed the recent victims named Combs' A-list friends in their accusations. He also alleged several celebrities have already come forward looking to settle cases out of court to avoid public lawsuits.

Ray J claimed he had no idea about Diddy's alleged "freak off" parties

In a prior interview with News Nation, Ray J claimed he never witnessed Diddy's alleged "freak off" parties, adding that he was still trying to digest the various allegations.

"We’ve never seen the stuff that’s being said and the stuff that people are finding out, like, I’ve never been in rooms that people are talking about, and I never knew they existed. To see where we are now, I think everybody is still trying to digest it and still trying to understand it."

He continued:

"And even though they're still allegations, and it's not anything that's factual yet, it's hurtful and it's confusing to a lot of people," he said.

According to Diddy's indictment unsealed on September 17, the rapper allegedly held "freak offs" where he drugged and forced women into s*x acts with male escorts. The rapper also allegedly filmed the "freak offs," with authorities claiming they found electronic evidence of the events during the raids.

Following his arrest, Combs was held at the Metropolitan Detention Center. According to The New York Times, he was denied bail due to being an alleged flight risk. He is next expected in court on October 9.
