Recently singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus took to his Instagram stories on Wednesday, July 24, to respond to the alleged abusive audio and text messages berating his ex-wife, Firerose, and his daughter, Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus’ message started,

“Hell yeah I was at my wit's end. As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that's before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something wasn't right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges ex-wife. That's before I knew her parents last name.”

He continued,

“I had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary. I saw before my very own eyes, everything I thought I knew about her, was a lie. She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain. See you in court.”

This happened after a new audio file which Us Weekly was able to get on Wednesday, July 24, depicted a heated argument between Cyrus and his separated wife, Firerose.

An audio of Billy Ray Cyrus berating his estranged wife Firerose during a fight in March 2024 was recently made public. Billy Ray replied to the recording after it went viral on Instagram on July 24, stating that he had reached his breaking point and had begun to realize something wasn't right as time went on.

He went on to say that it was before he discovered she was a fraud and that she was the ex-wife of David Hodges. He added that it was even before he even learned the last name of her parents.

Billy Ray Cyrus then claimed that he was unaware that she had been taken into custody for felony house burglary. He then said that everything he believed to be true about her was false and that he witnessed it with his own eyes.

Billy Ray Cyrus accused his estranged wife, Firerose, of trying to use his name and control his life and career. According to sources like The Sun, this happened after he blamed her for making him late for a performance. In a recorded argument, Billy Ray called Firerose an "idiot" and said he should have started the performance two hours earlier.

As Firerose attempted to reassure him that he could still make it, he said to her,

“I’m not in no place to go do a show. I had to go when I was ready to go. If you would just shut the f*ck up. If you would have left it alone when I told you … now I’m really f*cking pi*sed,

Firerose then urged Billy Ray Cyrus to stop screaming at her. However, Billy continued,

“You have once again shown me you will not listen. I don’t know who the f*ck you think you are, but you will not f*cking listen.”

He added,

“This is ain’t about … your surgery … this ain’t about nothing. This is about your being a selfish bi*ch.”

He then said that he does not consider Firerose to be "really smart." In addition, he warned her that he would not "tolerate" her actions as he kept cursing at her.

After this, the audio seemed to switch to Billy Ray Cyrus speaking in the third person about himself and discussing his kids. He added that he and Tish Cyrus are parents to Miley, Noah, and Braison. Additionally, he also adopted Tish's other kids, Trace and Brandi.

Meanwhile, neither Firerose nor Miley said anything regarding the entire audio clip.
