Former NFL player Larry Johnson has sparked debate with his recent claims, alleging that he witnessed children entering a late-night rap party hosted by music icons Jay-Z and Beyoncé in Colorado.
On December 10, 2024, during a sports podcast Fearless with Jason Whitlock, Larry Johnson talked about a day when he and other artists, including rap artists, were attending a party in Colorado. He said that around 11 pm, some children came to the party out of nowhere, which was quite surprising for him.
"So, when 11 (pm) hits, we turn on the music, we started drinking, and then out of nowhere came these young children," Johson said.
The statement by Larry Johnson came after an American attorney, Tony Buzbee, filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z, accusing him of s*xual misconduct with a minor in 2000.
An in-depth look at former NFL player Larry Johnson's allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé's party
Johnson explained that he was in Colorado for a photoshoot, which he believes took place during the winter of 2006 or 2007. He further stated that Jay, Beyoncé, Naomi Campbell, and Jaime King were also present at the time.
According to Johnson, Jay-Z had rented a house for a rap party associated with the photo shoot, and preparations were underway for what he described as an adult-only gathering.
"Jay was there, B was there, and he (Jay) rented this house, and we were supposed to do this rap party for this photoshoot. We rented this house, and we were watching LeBron play, and after the game, it had to be like 10 or 11 o'clock, so we getting ready for the party, mind you, it's all adults," Johson said.
Furthermore, Larry Johnson claimed that a young Latin girl, accompanied by her mother, was also present at the party but had to leave early due to school obligations. He then expressed confusion about the purpose of her attendance at the event.
The former NFL player added that children appeared at the party seemingly out of nowhere. He recounted sitting next to one child who was seated beside Beyoncé. According to Johnson, Beyoncé addressed the child, saying, "That does not look s*xy," a comment he said he did not understand —
"And then out of nowhere came these young children, I don't know where they came from, for a rap party at 11 at night, drinking, loud music, and us dancing wild. Like, I don't know where these kids came from."
He continued,
"And then I happened to sit down cuz I was dancing with one of the assistants, and I sat next to this child, and the child sat next to Beyoncé. So I hear B say something about, 'Doesn't this look s*xy or isn't it s*xy?'," Johnson said.
Larry Johnson concluded by stating that, at the time, he was not as aware as he is now. He also admitted to being under the influence of drinks, which prompted him to leave the party while the children remained behind.
Johnson's revelation comes after attorney Tony Buzbee filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z on December 8, 2024. The lawsuit, initially filed in October 2024, accuses Roc Nation founder Jay-Z and Sean Diddy Combs of s*xual misconduct involving a 13-year-old girl in 2000 during an afterparty following an MTV event.
The woman alleges that Jay-Z assaulted her first, followed by Combs. She claims she struck Combs and fled the party, according to CNN. Jay-Z has strongly denied the allegations, stating that these allegations are so "heinous in nature" that he even urged her to file a criminal complaint and not a civil one.
At present, it remains unclear how the case will proceed, but Jay-Z has become the first prominent figure publicly named in connection with Diddy and these allegations.
