Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, a.k.a. Doja Cat, recently put an end to rumors about her engagement to boyfriend, Joseph Quinn. Per a report by Page Six, on Sunday, September 22, 2024, the rapper took to her X (since deleted) to update her fans that it was not the case. She wrote:

"no, im not engaged its a David Yurman ring with no rocks in it."

The Say So crooner's response comes after eagle-eyed fans spotted her wearing a ring on her left hand during her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday. She was singing her track, Agoura Hills, when she held out her hand, pointing to her finger during the verse:

"Rub it in their face, put a rock on her hand."

Doja Cat and the Stranger Things star seemingly went public with their relationship last month after they were spotted hanging out together in London. However, Doja Cat is not engaged to Joseph Quinn.

Doja Cat was first linked with Joseph Quinn in 2022 after Noah Schnapp's chat reveal

According to viral images circulating on social media in August, Doja Cat and Joseph Quinn are together in London. One image showed Quinn with his arms around the rapper as they enjoyed an Osees rock concert at Dingwalls (a pub in London). Another showed the pair walking hand in hand, enjoying a stroll.

At the time, fans online commented that the crooner manifested her relationship with the A Quiet Place: Day One star. They were referring to her conversation with Noah Schnapp, asking him to set her up with his Stranger Things co-star, Quinn.

In 2022, Noah Schnapp posted his private Instagram conversation with Doja online, where he is seen questioning Schnapp, then 17, whether Quinn had a girlfriend. To which he replied:

"LMAOO slide into his dms."

The crooner replied that she does not have Joseph Quinn's social media IDs for her to message Quinn at. This prompted the Tutor actor to share his co-star's IG handle. Schnapp later shared this conversation with Doja Cat on TikTok.

The rapper, rightly angry, in an Instagram live stream, criticized the then-teenager, calling his move "unbelievably socially unaware and whack." In her rant, Dlamini explained that she didn't think he would share information that was told to him in confidence. However, she also noted that Noah Schnapp was just a teenager and they are bound to "f*ck up," adding that it is how they learn not to make mistakes.

Doja and Noah would later clear the misunderstanding and make up. A couple of weeks after the rapper's IG live rant, Schnapp took to his TikTok, sharing a video of himself taking a math quiz as Doja's Kiss Me More played in the background. He stated:

"Guys everything is all good I apologized and I still follow her and love her music no hard feelings."

The Grammy winner, during her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, donned a gray pantsuit with a white tank top, singing her hits WYM Freestyle, Demons, Need to Know, and Say So.

Joseph Quinn has not publicly reacted to the development.
