Recently American rapper Slim Thug released a video in support of the fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion amidst the release of the female rapper’s documentary. This happened after a clip from Megan’s Amazon Prime documentary Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, started making its rounds online.
In the clip, she reportedly admitted that she was not honest with host Gayle King about having a s*xual relationship with Tory Lanez during a 2022 interview. After this, Megan allegedly started receiving backlash amidst Lanez’s jail time for shooting at her.
In an Instagram video uploaded by The Shade Room, Slim Thug could be seen defending Megan in the middle of all the criticism she had received. In the same video, he said:
“Ah, she lied about not sleeping with him, who wants to tell who they slept with. Nobody wants to say that.. I wouldn't have said I slept [with someone] on national TV anyway… She lied about that. Tori can't do that. Shut the f*ck up man who wants to say who they slept with on the ABC News.”
Meanwhile, once the video went public, people took to Instagram to defend Slim Thug as well as Megan Thee Stallion. One user even praised the male rapper for "speaking up for her.”
Others also applauded him for the same reason. Some Instagram users said that he has both “real logic” and “common sense” as he is defending Megan.
Many people also agreed with him and said that people need to “normalize lying” when they are asked uncomfortable questions.
Other Instagram users also said similar things and pointed out that the main issue of Tory Lanez's trial was that he shot at Megan and not their s*xual relationship.
Slim Thug supported Megan Thee Stallion in the wake of her recent documentary
Recently Slim Thug has been praised for releasing a video in support of Megan Thee Stallion in the wake of her documentary release. Referring to the fact that Megan is getting slammed for lying in a 2022 interview about her relationship with Lanez, Slim Thug further said in the same Instagram video:
“Shut the f*ck up. You so slow man. You gonna ask somebody who they sleep with on ABC.!! What are you doing? You ain't got to tell people who you slept with. Weirdo, you go on the news and tell somebody who you sleep with? That's dumb."
The video was released after a clip from Megan Thee Stallion's upcoming documentary went viral, where the female rapper admitted lying to TV broadcaster Gayle King. In the clip, in response to King's question regarding her physical relationship with Tory Lanez, the Savage hitmaker said:
“Yes, I lied to Gayle King — I didn’t know that b*tch was gonna ask me about that s*x. We was just gonna talk about this shooting — why is you asking me about Tory? That’s not what this is about.”
Additionally, Revolt TV's April 24, 2022, report also confirmed that Meg told King that she had never had a "s*xual relationship" with Lanez before the shooting. As per the same source, the rapper later admitted that she was caught off guard by the question and decided to "BS" her way through it by lying.
Moreover, as per Marca’s October 31 report, throughout the documentary, Megan described her relationship with Lanez as very "complicated." She further admitted that they had "hooked up once or twice" but played down the significance of the shooting, saying it happened while she was intoxicated.
Meanwhile, Tory Lanez is still in custody and serving jail time for shooting at Megan.
