Kid Cudi recently shared a health update with his fans, saying he was doing "much better" and going "stronger". The rapper shared that he's able to walk for the first time in four months after getting surgery for a broken foot.
The Man on the Moon rapper took to X on Wednesday, July 10, to write:
"July 7th 2024, first day going "toe punch" putting light weight on my foot. Im doin so much better as of today."
Cudi was happy and hopeful of his foot recovery after the Coachella fall, sharing:
"Can put about 20% of weight on it. As the weeks go by, ill add more weight and then ill be able to walk without crutches baby! Still got ways to go, but this was my first time walking in 4 months and I was mad happy to see the progress."
Along with the health update was footage of the artist walking on crutches with the help of his physical therapist, with his right foot still on his customized cast. Kid Cudi shared that his mom was filming the video and that she had tears of joy to see him walk again. He further wrote:
"Im comin back yall, stronger and more focused. Ill been sitting at home in my dim lit room plotting my resurgance, and soon, we will ride again."
For the unversed, the Day 'N' Nite artist broke his foot mid-set performing his Pursuit of Happiness at the Sahara Tent back on the night of April 21 after he jumped from the stage. He landed awkwardly and had to be carried away by security personnel for immediate medical attention.
It was an unfortunate turn of events for the rapper as he was only added to the festival lineup a couple of days before his performance, marking the first time he returned to Coachella since 2019.
Kid Cudi is busy with projects amidst recovery from foot surgery
While the Cudi Zone artist isn't going to be back to his Isano World Tour anytime soon as he fully recovers from foot surgery, he hasn't slowed down and has been busy with multiple projects.
The Cleveland artist, who starred in the first installment of Ti West's Mia Goth-led slasher film X, was also an executive producer in the subsequent prequel Pearl and the first proper sequel MaXXXine, which came out on July 5.
While the project was set to be a trilogy, it might not be the last time Kid Cudi and Ti West collaborated as the rapper teased a future project with the director. In his other July 10 post on X, he wrote:
"Wait til u see what me and Ti West do next."
Kid Cudi, who has recently gotten engaged to Lola Abecassis Satore, also dropped a new single titled Dreams I See in support of the third issue of his Moon Man comic series. The Dreams I See visualizer, released on July 10, offers a first glimpse into the Moon Man #3 storyline, featuring its protagonist Ramon Townsend navigating through the galaxies.
According to Variety, the Moon Man #3 release also comes with a four-piece apparel capsule, which is all set to debut on Kid Cudi's website on July 10, 3 pm ET.
