Post Malone feels welcome in Nashville after finding "lifelong friends" in the city.
Rapper Post Malone, during an interview with Apple Music's Today's Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen, sat down to discuss his upcoming country album, F-1, which is all set to release on August 16. The rapper talked about creating music for his album in Nashville,
"It's really nice meeting people in Nashville that made me feel so welcome and new friends and kind of building new stuff and for once I'm not sad anymore. I'm happy, very happy.”
The singer has been integrating himself into Nashville's country music scene, collaborating with other country artists, writers, producers, and musicians for his new country album F-1 Trillion.
Post Malone on how Nashville differs from L.A.
In a recent interview with Kelleigh Bannen, while calling Nashville, "welcoming", Post Malone compared two cities, L.A. and Nashville, and stated that L.A. is L.A., he has always felt distracted while working in the Hollywood capital, and the people in Nashville are "super kind and super talented." Post also said L.A. always has something to do, which is not conducive to a work environment for him.
He then called L.A. exhausting and said,
"It's always like someone wants something from you"
Post added he doesn't get that vibe from Nashville where he has found a group of "really, really good folks."
The singer received a standing ovation when he made his debut at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House on August 14. Country musicians who were also involved in his F-1 album: Vince Gill, John Michael Montgomery, Lainey Wilson, and The War and Treaty joined him.
Paisley introduced him, who gave a brief to the singer, saying,
"He has a country heart and he is someone who immerself himself in the Nashville way. But you aren't a country singer until you've played this."
As he took to the stage, the rapper said that he was "so terrified and beyond honored to be standing right in this spot right here." Vince Gill joined Post for the first song, a rendition of his 1993 hit, One More Last Chance.
He was then joined by Wilson for a song from his new album Nosedive. At the end of the country music event, the audience rose to their feet to applaud and cheer for the rapper.
