Ralo responded to the backlash he faced after he live streamed Rich Homie Quan's funeral in South Fulton on September 17, 2024. On September 5, the late rapper's girlfriend found him unresponsive at his Atlanta home. His cause of death is yet to be confirmed, at the time of this article.

Following the funeral, Ralo took to social media to call out the backlash he received for streaming the service and the burial site on Instagram Live. He also questioned why no one was speaking out against the people who didn't attend Rich Homie Quan's funeral.

“If you don’t want to see me on the internet then you know what you got to do. Get off the internet b***h. ‘Cuz I ain’t. Soon as a n***a say something good about somebody, you d**k riding. Soon as you try to post a n***a that’s dead, you d**k riding. Do y’all muthaf**kas ever say anything good?”

Ralo and Rich Homie Quan feuded in 2016 after the former accused the latter of stealing his song. They put their beef to rest and reconciled in 2021. Following Quan's death, Ralo took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late rapper, adding he was happy they had ended their conflict before Quan's death. He also reiterated the statement in an Instagram video following Quan's memorial.

Ralo defended Rich Homie Quan after rumors of snitching

On the day of Quan's death, Ralo took to X to call out people for their hypocritical behavior. He talked about how the same people who called the late rapper a "rat" after rumors of him snitching on Young Thug's YSL RICO case, were now memorializing him.

"See that that s**t I be talking about. Y'all n****s be so fake. The whole world was just calling this man, Rich Homie Quan, a rat. Soon as he die, 'Oh, that was my friend. I love him.' Boy, y'all n****s so goddamn fake 'round this muthaf**ka, man," he said.

Rich Homie Quan's name was mentioned during the ongoing YSL RICO trial two days before his death. Quan and Thug had been up-and-coming rappers together till they had a falling out.

On September 3, the prosecution asked YSL associate Lil Woody, one of the key witnesses during the trial, about Quan's relationship with Thug and whether they had a problem with each other.

Instead of answering, Woody directed the question at Thug, asking,

"Thug, did you have an issue with Rich Homie..."

The moment left the court, including Thug, in stitches.

Rich Homie Quan's father and brother spoke at his service

Rich Homie Quan, whose real name is Dequantes Lamar, died at 33, on September 5, 2024. The late rapper's memorial service was attended by his friends, family and peers, who paid tribute to him at the World Changers Church International.

Corey Lamar, Quan's father, talked about how his son pushed him to be a better role model and father, saying:

“From the day I met Quan and I held him, my life changed. I knew failure was not an option. But little did Quan know, he pushed me to be a dad, a role model and to be an example as what a man should be. Built upon integrity, morals and values."

His brother Andre Munford reflected on Quan's journey as a rapper and the success that accompanied it. He talked about how he appreciated his brother for sharing that success with him, saying how the family went from eating oatmeal and cereal to enjoying continental breakfast and private chefs because of Quan.

Rich Homie Quan gained success with his 2013 song Type of Way. He released his sole studio album in 2018 titled Rich as in Spirit.
