Selena Gomez took to her Instagram account on December 11, to announce that she is engaged to her boyfriend and music producer, Benny Blanco.

The Rare Beauty founder took to the social networking site to share a carousel of images featuring a close-up of her marquise-cut diamond ring. Among the images, one captures her admiring her ring while sitting on a blanket on a manicured lawn. In another image, the couple was also seen embracing each other as Selena Gomez showed off her ring.

Selena Gomez captioned the social media post, “Forever begins now…” with her 36-year-old fiancé taking to the comment section to state, “hey wait...that’s my wife.”

Meanwhile, some netizens have since taken to social media to draw comparisons between her engagement ring and that of Hailey Bieber. One X user @positionsmafiaa took to the social networking site to allege that the engagement ring Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, got for his wife, Hailey Bieber, “costs 4 times as much as the one Benny Blanco bought for Selena Gomez.”
