Ice Spice teased her new song on Instagram
Rapper Ice Spice recently debuted her new song. On July 10, she shared a sneak peek on social media featuring a drill beat and club-ready anthem. In the video, she sports her trademark orange hair, a black top, and jean shorts while twerking to the song.
The track is expected to be on her upcoming album, Y2K, set for release later this month, with rumors of a Taylor Swift collaboration. However, details about the creators and features are scarce. Ice Spice also released a new clip on TikTok, and her new bob haircut is gaining popularity.
Meanwhile, in addition to sporting a new hairstyle, Ice Spice recently made the news for blowing kisses at the audience during the Rolling Loud Europe Set as they were booing a Taylor Swift song.
On Sunday, July 7, as the rapper's Rolling Loud Europe performance began to receive negative applause, she responded by blowing kisses to the hecklers and trying to keep the momentum going.
It all started when Swift’s portion of the duo's Karma remix began to play through the speakers during her festival act in Austria. Ice shouted at her audience
“Swifties, make some noise!”
However, many spectators began to boo loudly, giving thumbs down in a video that went viral online. Despite this, Ice Spice stayed composed and responded with flying kisses. According to News Byte Sapp, Taylor Swift praised their collaboration on the Karma remix last year, mentioning in a May 2023 Spotify recording that the partnership felt natural.
During the same recording, she further said that-
"Collaborating with Ice Spice on ‘Karma’ was one of the most natural things. She reached out through her team, just kind of saying, ‘Hey, you know, Ice has been a big fan of Taylor’s since she was a little kid, we’d love to collaborate if that was ever something that came about.’ "
The same source said that Swift also shared that Ice Spice was the one who first showed interest in collaborating through her team. Later, in May 2023, at Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour stop in New Jersey, the two shocked fans by performing Karma together.
Swift and the singer appeared in the original video, which was also released at the same time. The singer later performed on Swift's Eras tour as a result of their cooperation.
Ice Spice hasn’t said anything regarding the whole thing as of yet.
