Rapper Plies has spoken up about Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 United States Presidential elections on Sunday, July 21, through a series of posts on his X account. Biden officially announced his departure from the Presidential race this Sunday and nominated Vice President Kamala Harris as the next Democratic Presidential candidate.
Following the announcement, Plies took to X to claim that Harris has been put in this position to show how allegedly "sexist and racist" the United States still is. Plies added that the nomination of Harris as President would bring out the "true colors" of the Republicans and Trump.
"God Put @KamalaHarris In This Position To Show How Sexist/Racist This Country Still Is! Buckle Up & Enjoy The Ride U About To See Things U Never Thought U’d See! MAGA,Trump & Republicans True Colors Will Be On Full Display!!! U’ll About To See How Disgusting People Can Really Be!"
In a follow-up post the rapper also mentioned that it was a sad day for those who allegedly made fun of Biden for his supposed "stuttering disorder." He wrote on X:
"This Was A SAD DAY For Mainstream Media & Everyone Else Who Took Pride In Beating Up On A 81yr Old Man. Who Had A Speech Impediment/Stuttering Disorder. Y’all Hoped It Never Ended. Y’all Treated Him Like The Convicted Felon & Treated The Convicted Felon Like He Was The President!"
The rapper shared a third X post speculating how the mainstream media would deal with Kamala Harris being the new nominee if she is officially named by the party. He added:
"This Week The Mainstream Media Focus Will Be To Create As Much Chaos As Possible About Kamala Being The Nominee!! They’ll Talk To Every Democrat Who Against @KamalaHarris & Feel It’s A Need To Have A Run Off! Their Goal Will Be To Sew Doubt With The Donors & The American People!"
Plies claims the Republicans are scared of Kamala Harris being the next Democratic Presidential candidate
Plies has been vocal about his dislike for Donald Trump and has openly supported the Democrats several times online.
Speaking further on X about the aforementioned recent developments in the 2024 US Presidential elections, Plies claimed that the Republicans are scared at the prospect of Harris becoming the next official Democratic candidate in place of Biden. He wrote:
"Trump, MAGA, Main Stream Media & Republicans Are Scared Sh*tless Right Now! This Was Their Worst Nightmare! If The Nominee Is Officially Kamala & She Picks A DOPE “VP” It’s GAME OVER! All They Have To Do Is Prosecute The Case. Against The Most Flawed Candidate In America History!"
The rapper went on to make the bold claim that if Harris is indeed nominated and the Black people of America give her the "Obama support" she will win the elections. He continued:
"This Move For Certain Will Force Mainstream Media, Trump & The Republicans To Change Course! Biden Was Ideal For Them B/c His Hiccups Was Enough To Dominate The News Cycle. A Black Woman Is Still Feared By Many. But If Black Folk Give Her Obama Support She’ll Win This Election!"
Plies also shared a screenshot of a post by Donald Trump on X, where he claimed his debate with Joe Biden should be telecasted on Fox News instead of ABC. The rapper alleged that Trump is a pathological liar and is scared of losing the race as he can win only by "manipulating the system."
On the same day on X, Plies joked that Kamala Harris should come out of the National Democratic Convention while playing Not Like Us By Kendrick Lamar. The song is a diss track aimed at Canadian rapper Drake which K Dot dropped during their infamous rap feud in May 2024.
The rapper also defended Harris against the alleged claims of her "not being black". He indicated that Donald Trump is not black either, and taunted him by calling him "orange." He wrote:
"I Laugh When I Hear People Say @KamalaHarris “AIN’T BLACK”!!! Last I Checked Trump Damn Show Wasn’t BLACK!! 🤣 He Might Be ORANGE But He Damn Sho AIN’T BLACK!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣"
Plies has since then been active on X, voicing his opinions about the US Presidential race. He also quoted posts by Elon Musk, supposedly making fun of him for opposing views.
