Rihanna turned up in London for the celebration of the launch of the Fenty Hair Mane Street Pop-up in collaboration with StudioXAG and the London department store, Selfridges on September 16, 2024.
The Rude Boy hitmaker arrived at the launch party in a statement wrap dress resembling a bathrobe. According to a press release, Rihanna’s custom butter yellow dress from Jacquemus was made from recycled feathers and was inspired by the fashion house’s La Casa collection.

Rihanna’s Jacquemus robe is a version of the brand’s Caruso coat
According to Page Six, The 36-year-old superstar was dressed in a variation of the Jacquemus Caruso Coat which is sold for $2,230 designed with exaggerated lapels and a detachable belt.
The Fenty Beauty mogul’s custom-made coat featured a low neckline and stylish collars. The faux fur coat also had a high slit which bared the singer’s legs as she posed for pictures.
The bold dress was paired with golden pointy-toed heels from Amina Muaddi. Rihanna’s hair was styled in black waves with a side part that framed her face. She opted for a nude makeup look and glossy lips. Her golden jewelry which consisted of drop earrings and a ring, complemented her golden shoes.
Once inside the event’s venue, she had an outfit change. The singer’s new look consisted of a brown vintage John Galliano slip dress with floral detailing and ruffles.
The dress was from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2006 collection. The pumps were replaced with strappy open-toed heels. She retained her black curls but switched her makeup to bold red lips.
Announcing the launch of Fenty Hair in Selfridges the singer said:
"The UK holds a special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled to be launching Fenty Hair internationally first into Selfridges. I can’t wait for our UK community to discover the right products for their hair types in real life on Mane Street.”
The Fenty Hair Mane’s Street campaign will be available until September 28, 2024, with pop-ups at Manchester from September 9 to September 22, 2024, and Selfridges Birmingham from October 14 to October 27, 2024.
In a promotional video for the launch of Fenty Hair in June 2024, posted on Instagram, Rihanna spoke on the reason for the hair brand’s creation:
“I wanted to create a lineup of products that are easy to use. I also needed products that can keep with me and fit into my lifestyle.”
Rihanna’s appearance in London for Fenty Hair comes in the wake of reports about the singer secretly cooking up her ninth album, dubbed R9 by fans.
The Sun magazine, in an exclusive released on August 13, 2024, reported that the singer’s elusive album will soon be released with plans to headline the Glastonbury festival in 2025 as well.
