Rapper Safaree Samuels made a surprising appearance at Nicki Minaj’s Miami tour stop for her Pink Friday 2 Tour on Sunday, October 6. The former ex-boyfriend of the femcee was spotted wearing a denim vest and matching trousers, which was heavily trolled by fans. Many of Nicki's fans were displeased by his presence at her show and blasted him online. However, Safaree later addressed the backlash online.

Several internet users and gossip blogs, including The Shade Room, shared a video of Safaree being surrounded by bodyguards as he was seen among fans at Nicki Minaj’s performance. At one point, it appeared as if the bodyguards were trying to escort him away from where he was standing. Many netizens fell under the assumption that he was being sent off by security.

Notably, Nicki Minaj invited her husband, Kenneth Petty, on stage in front of Safaree Samuels, which sparked many reactions as well. Several users believed that the Barbie World singer's action was influenced by Safaree's presence in the crowd.

Following Nicki Minaj and Safaree’s breakup, the former began dating Meek Mill. It is worth noting that Safaree financially benefited from his relationship with Minaj, as he shared a pay statement in July 2018 that revealed that he received $2,343 for his contribution to Minaj’s Pink Friday debut album.

He also took to X to express that he was “proud” of his ex-girlfriend. He said:

“I’m proud no cap… a lot of yalll will never understand but there is no malice in me… I’m proud”

Earlier this year, Safaree discussed his struggles following his breakup with Minaj on the We In Miami podcast. He described it as “a dark time,” adding:

“I had two of the biggest people in the world [Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill] against me. That made everybody against me. Nobody wanted to be next to me. Nobody wanted to work with me. It just made everything hard. That was a dark time for me.”
