Elon Musk is often known to have made transphobic comments against his 20-year-old trans daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson on X.

Vivian in an exclusive interview with NBC on July 25 looked back on her relationship with her biological father, calling him "cold", "uncaring" and "narcissistic." She also mentioned Musk often criticized and harassed her for her "femininity."

The Tesla founder's ex, Grimes took to X on July 25 to show support for his transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson.

"I love and am forever endlessly proud of Vivian."

When a user commented on Grimes' tweet saying, "It's not great when you're changing what God created", the Canadian musician responded by saying,

"God gave us hands to build cathedrals, rocket to the moon. It's clearly divine to make use of gods greatest gift to humanity, which is creativity."

Vivian's comments against the Tesla founder in the exclusive NBC interview came after he spoke about their relationship in a video interview with psychologist and conservative commentator Jordan Peterson on July 22, claiming he does not support her gender identity. In the interview which was streamed live on X, Musk mentioned he "lost his son" to the "woke-mind virus" and that Wilson was "dead" to him.

"I know this isn't your heart," said Grimes to Elon Musk

The Canadian musician and Elon Musk made their relationship official at the Met Gala in May 2018. They share three children together, son X Æ A-Xii in 2020, Exa Dark Sideræl via surrogate in 2021, and a third child Techno Mechanicus, however, his birth date isn't confirmed.

In an interview with Page Six in September 2021, the Tesla founder revealed that he and the Canadian singer have "semi-separated."

Grimes' support of Musk's trans daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, isn't the first time she has disagreed with Musk's opinion on the LGBTQ+ community. In July 2020 when Musk tweeted "Pronouns suck", the singer replied to the tweet by saying,

"I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a (call). I cannot support hate. Please stop this. I know this isn't your heart."

Vivian legally changed her name and gender in 2022 and stated she doesn't want "to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form." On July 22, 2024, Elon went on to make comments about Vivian in a tweet claiming, "he was not a girl."

"...Was born gay and slightly autistic, two attributes that contribute to gender dysphoria. I knew that from when he was about 4 years old and he would pick out clothes for me to wear like a jacket and tell me it was "fabulous!", as well his love of musicals & theatre. But he was not a girl."

In the NBC interview, Vivian responded to the tweet and defended herself claiming that Musk's memory of her was "made up." She also went on to add that Musk was absent during her childhood, and in the little time he was present she "was relentlessly harassed for my feminity or queerness." She also responded to his "he was not a girl" comment and said she is "legally recognized as a woman in the state of California."

Elon Musk has fathered 12 children in total. Six of his children, Vivian Jenna Wilson, Nevada Alexander Musk, Griffin Musk, Saxon Musk, Kai Musk, and Damian Musk are with his first wife, Justine Musk. Three children of his children, X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus are with singer Grimes. Three of his children, Strider, Azure, and an unknown child are with Shivon Zilis.
