Hailie Jade and husband Evan McClintock reveal the sex of Eminem's grandkid

Eminem is going to be a grandad to a "little buddy" as his pregnant daughter, Hailie Jade, and her husband, Evan McClintock, reveal the gender of their baby. On Friday, October 11, episode of Just a Little Shady podcast, Hailie Jade Mathers said that they are expecting a baby boy.

McClintock and Mathers made the gender revealed by popping a gold balloon filled with blue confetti before the soon-to-be parents shouted:

"It's a boy!"

Eminem's daughter also shared her husband's excitement upon learning that they are going to welcome a "little buddy" into their growing family. She recalled that time McClintock learned about their baby's gender, saying:

"We're so excited, too. When we found out, Evan was like, 'They're going to hunt with me. They're going to go golfing with me. I've got a little buddy.' I was like, 'OK, they're still going to Target with me."

McClintock defended his comments, saying that he would still have made them do it "whether it was a girl or boy." The soon-to-be-dad is hopeful that he can share those activities with his little guy in the future.

Hailie Jade Mathers made headlines last week when she announced her pregnancy via Eminem's Temporary music video. The Grammy-winning rapper's video is a mash-up of clips from his daughter's younger years up to her wedding to Evan McClintock in May. Toward the end of the video, Hailie Jade presents her father with a Detroit Lions jersey with "Grandpa" and "No. 1" printed on the back.

The Death of Slim Shady rapper's reaction was caught by the camera, showing his shocked face complete with a jaw drop and wide eyes. She also gave her father pictures from her ultrasound appointment, making the rapper tear up even more.

Hailie revealed in the podcast's October 11 episode that her father initially didn't believe that she was pregnant when gave him the jersey. The rapper reportedly thought that his daughter giving him the "Grandpa" jersey was because she thought he was old.

He only believed it when she gave him the sonogram pictures. After the music video release, Eminem's daughter shared maternity shots via Instagram with the caption, "mom & dad est. 2025."

On October 4, Hailie Jade and her co-host and best friend, Brittany Ednie, shared more details about her pregnancy in their Just a Little Shady podcast. The podcaster teased Ednie for getting drunk and talking about how she fears the Joker for "30 minutes" during her wedding to McClintock in May. Ednie then defended herself, saying that she can now talk about it because her co-host's pregnancy is public knowledge now, which wasn't the case at the wedding. Ednie explained:

"So she was, you know, grabbing a drink, not consuming the drink as a responsible parent does. Whenever people were turned around, she would hand me her drink, and I would chug so it looked as if she was continuously drinking throughout that night."

Hailie Jade added that that her friend "was taking one for the team," despite her not asking her to do so. She said that Ednie helped keep her pregnancy a secret before she could make the big reveal to Eminem.
