Victoria Beckham has once again denied long-standing rumors that she has undergone a nose job. During her appearance on the December 16 episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna, the former Spice Girl and fashion mogul attributed the perceived change in her nose shape to "clever contouring" rather than cosmetic surgery.
Speaking with journalist Zanna Roberts Rassi in a pre-recorded segment, Beckham, 50, addressed the speculation, saying,
"There’s been a lot of people in the past that have said to me that I’ve had some kind of surgery on my nose. I have never, ever, ever, ever had anything. No, never."
She emphasized that her makeup techniques, not surgery, are responsible for her nose’s appearance.
Victoria Beckham credits makeup, not surgery, for her 'nose trick'
Victoria Beckham, the founder of Victoria Beckham Beauty, is known for sharing her makeup routines on social media. Her tutorials often showcase her "signature" makeup techniques, including contouring tricks that enhance her facial features.
Her contouring approach was also highlighted in a video shared on her personal and brand Instagram accounts on January 13, 2024. In the clip, Beckham demonstrated the use of her brand's 'Contour Stylus,' explaining,
"I always start by slimming down my nose. I'm going to draw two lines on either side of my nose... What this is going to do [is] when I blend it with a brush or my fingers, it’s going to give the illusion of a longer, straighter nose."
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Beckham has addressed these rumors. In a December 2022 YouTube video with makeup artist and entrepreneur Charlotte Tilbury, she tackled similar claims, stating,
"People have also said that I’ve had a nose job. Never had a nose job. Always had a nose like this. It is the nose trick."
In the video, the two women demonstrated a nose-slimming technique using Tilbury’s makeup products, further reinforcing Beckham’s claim that her nose’s appearance is the result of makeup techniques.
While Victoria Beckham has consistently denied having rhinoplasty, she has been open about other past cosmetic procedures. In a letter to her 18-year-old self, published in British Vogue in January 2017, she advised against undergoing breast augmentation, reflecting on her own experience.
She also acknowledged that the procedure was a sign of insecurity, further emphasizing the importance of self-acceptance.
Beckham had her breast implants removed in 2014 and has since advocated for embracing natural beauty. In her 2022 conversation with Charlotte Tilbury, she shared her thoughts on skincare and aging, saying,
"I don’t think skincare is about trying to look younger. It’s about looking like the best version of yourself and embracing who you are and looking polished and gorgeous."
Victoria Beckham’s beauty acumen appears to be influencing her family as well. Her 12-year-old daughter, Harper Seven, showcased her own makeup routine in a TikTok video on November 6, while preparing to present her mother with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the 2024 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards.
In the video, Harper used products from her mother’s beauty brand, including the 'Lip Liner' and 'Posh Gloss' in the shade 'Ice.' During the award ceremony, as reported by The Daily Mail the same day, Harper acknowledged her mother’s accomplishments, highlighting her ability to build a successful business from the ground up.
She also noted that her mother’s dedication, ambition, and high standards have served as an inspiration for her.
Victoria Beckham Beauty, launched in 2019, has since become a significant part of Beckham’s entrepreneurial journey.
