Ice Cube's son, O'Shea Jackson Jr., expressed concern for Ludacris just hours after the latter shared a video of him drinking water from a glacier in Alaska. On Monday, August 26, 2024, Jackson Jr. reposted the viral video of the rapper with the comment:

Ludacris originally shared the clip on his Instagram account. He can be seen filling his flask with the ice-cold water and braving a sip. He explained that it was part of his bucket list to drink fresh glacial water, stating:

"I couldn’t come here and just have a show. You know I got a bucket list — or as I like to call it the f*ck it list. I’ve never tasted fresh glacial water ever in my life, and this is a first. Here we go!"

However, soon after the Act a Fool hitmaker shared the post, internet users expressed concerns over his health.

"Boil that sh*t and make it cold again"- O'Shea Jackson Jr. cautions netizens against drinking glacial water like Ludacris

In a subsequent post, O'Shea Jackson Jr. advised netizens to boil the water before drinking it. He shared a TikTok video by user @thejohndevereaux, who explained that he got sick for two days after drinking glacial water.

"I see a lot of people name calling but still water is still water. Boil that sh*t and make it cold again. Shoutout to @big_business_ I saw this video on his post about the same thing," Jackson Jr. wrote.

In his TikTok video, @thejohndevereaux elaborated that drinking water from a 600,000-year-old glacier left him with a horrible stomach upset. He cautioned not to do it, despite the water looking clear and refreshing.

Users like @mieka.xii and @six8bartend commented under Ludacris's post, that despite looking fresh and clean, glacial water would be full of bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms. They explained that the water could contain diseases that have been frozen for hundreds of years. One even joked that the rapper is going to start the next pandemic.

Per an article by HipHopX, glacial water is known to have animals like Tardigrades, which are less than a millimeter in size. Additionally, it can contain dangerous metals like mercury, zinc, and cadmium.

Following the barrage of criticisms, Ludacris took to his X to state he didn't exhibit any signs of being sick. He added that the water was "the best tasting water (he has) ever had in (his) life." The rapper explained that drinking the water felt like every cell in his body was being "hydrated and rejuvenated at the same damn time."

The Move B*tch crooner revaled that he had the greatest show in Alaska after drinking the water and even made it in time for his concert in Minneapolis. He quipped he was feeling like "Superman."

Ludacris has not publicly reacted to O'Shea Jackson Jr.'s comments. The rapper is currently on tour and set to perform in Salem, Oregon on August 28 next.
