Canadian rapper, singer, and actor Drake was seen sporting his short hair during the November 24 live stream with xQc aka Felix Lengyel on the platform, Kick. His new low-cut, groomed hairstyle without the longstanding braids was first revealed a week ago on his Instagram Story.

In the wake of this fresh look, the internet is having diverse reactions. For instance, X user @illisp*mp posted two screenshots from the live stream highlighting Drizzy’s short hair and captioned:

“Either the Kendrick beef stressing Drake out or he asked the barber for that Tory Lanez bald spot special.”

Many people joined the conversation and shared similar reactions on the social media platform, joking that the rapper’s feud with K-Dot has him losing hair.

“That boy coping hard and BALDING,” one person wrote.
“The beef with Kendrick got Drake losin’ hair,” wrote another.
"starting to look like 2016 Drake but his forehead bigger," an individual wrote.

Others continued to chime in.

“Drake has so much aura with his short hair,” a fan wrote.
“Drake cut his hair. Something is happening lmao,” another fan wrote.
“Drake cut his hair? He bringing back bearded Drake?” asked a user.

Drake’s new short hair may have been a celebration of winning a bet

On November 16, Drizzy debuted his latest look which showed him without his famous braided hair – replaced by closely trimmed short curls. He revealed it via an Instagram Story with a few dollar signs floating on the screen.

As explained by Rap-up, the brand-new hairstyle came in the wake of Champagne Papi reportedly winning a $950,000 bet after Jon “Bones” Jones beat Stipe Miocic in a recent heavyweight UFC 309 match.

In a follow-up IG Story, 6 God also shared an image of record producer, singer, songwriter, and rapper DeVante Swing, who is best known for his signature short hairstyle. Notably, Swing is the frontman of the 90s R&B group Jodeci. In 2019, Drizzy gave a shoutout to them through his single Jodeci Freestyle in collaboration with J. Cole for the B-side version of his studio album, Care Package.

Meanwhile, fans are waiting for Champagne Papi’s forthcoming album, which is a joint production by him and PartyNextDoor, which was announced in August. Last month, it was even reported that the duo was giving “finishing touches” to the project. However, so far, the official name of the album or its date of release remains undisclosed.

However, earlier this year, Drizzy shared how the album would drop “when it gets a little chill” for his fans during a Toronto concert in August.

Throughout his career, 6 God has undergone hairstyle changes that coincided with his musical eras. For instance, when the mixtape Comeback Season dropped in 2007, Drizzy sported a similar short fade. Likewise, Champagne Papi donned a heart-shaped design on his head during the release of his 2021 studio album Certified Lover Boy.

In October 2023, Drizzy debuted his braided look during the unveiling of his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs, which remained for over a year, until the recent makeover.

During his live stream on Sunday night with xQc, Drizzy reignited his beef with Kendrick Lamar as the latter dropped GNX on November 22. He shared that only "facts" can take him out, not "fairytales." Drake also mentioned bits and pieces of his career and engaged in a giveaway to fans worth $500,000.
