Missy Elliott has recently thanked Usher for coming to her aid during a time of need. In a post on X, the singer explained how Usher helped her get rid of a serious migraine attack before one of her shows by massaging her pressure points. She also thanked Usher for turning up at her concert and hoped that he would do the same in the future.

In the tweet posted on July 30, the rapper wrote,

"Big up my fam @Usher who came to not just one of my shows but TWO & hopefully 3/ what ppl don’t know is I suffer migraines and I performed yesterday in ATL with the WORST migraine nauseated & all & he came back stage & did pressure points on my hands, yes he do it all."

Missy Elliott also shared photos of her and Usher with the tweet, including ones in which he massaged Elliott's pressure points in her hands to help her with the excruciating migraine.

Missy Elliott's next destination for her first-ever headlining tour is in Baltimore on August 1. The tour is titled Out of This World: The Missy Elliott Experience and also features guest appearances from juggernauts like Ciara, Timbaland, and Busta Rhymes.

In an interview with the Associated Press before the start of her first headlining tour, Missy Elliott opened up about her thoughts about headlining her first-ever tour in the rapper's career.

“I didn't realise I never had my own tour. The last real tour that I went on — like, consistent days — was with Beyoncé and Alicia (Keys)”

Missy Elliott became the first female rapper to be included in the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2019 and also made it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the first female hip-hop artist in 2023.

In a June 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Missy Elliott opened up about headlining her first-ever tour while battling with Graves' Disease. Mayo Clinic describes Graves' disease as more common in women above thirty years of age and affects the thyroid gland.

"Graves' disease is an immune system condition that affects the thyroid gland. It causes the body to make too much thyroid hormone. That condition is called hyperthyroidism. Thyroid hormones affect many organs in the body. So Graves' disease symptoms also can affect those organs. Anyone can get Graves' disease. But it's more common in women and in people older than 30."

Before the ongoing tour, the rapper was on a prolonged break because of her battle with this ailment that left her with depression and severe weight loss. However, she revealed she is in good health now.

“Every day I wake, I’m blessed to be here and in good health. I’m feeling so much better now. That was a run. Every now and then you get a little ache in the leg or the knee, but outside of that, I feel good,” commented Elliott in the interview.

She continued talking about her good health and daily routine,

“Every morning my regimen is I get up, wash my face, brush my teeth and walk. I say my prayers as I’m walking, and then all of these ideas start coming to mind. I’ll call everybody like, ‘I want to swing from this,’ and they’re like, ‘Do you know how much that costs?’ commented the rapper.

Missy Elliott was diagnosed with Graves' Disease way back in 2008 and stayed away from the limelight for many years before finally coming to the forefront and hosting the first headlining tour of her career.
