50 Cent has recently opened up on his experience with Diddy when the latter wanted him to take to shopping. While speaking to Andrew Schulz on the podcast Flagrant on December 16, 2024, 50 Cent was got into a funny conversation with a few other guests.
In the beginning, Andrew questioned Cent on what was going on with Diddy and the rapper replied:
"The last thing I saw was like a guy there he was like yo he pushed me into a truck. It really hurt. I was like yo look I can find other things to do."
At one point, Andrew asks Cent about the response he gave to Diddy when he asked Cent to go shopping in real life. The rapper said that he tried to get away from Diddy and continued:
"We gotta hang out now like do know like hang out hey y'all. So I don't know man, I take you shop and just flash you. Can give me the hush and I was looking in and I was like, let me just move away from him because I'm a mess up to win."
Cent also recalled that the shopping request came at the time when record executive Chris Lighty was getting married and added:
"Certain things they let it go by because it's Puff, like they would look like he would say stuff and just like, he wasn't in the closet, he was in the hallway."
50 Cent said he felt a different kind of energy when Diddy invited him for shopping
Back in August this year, 50 Cent appeared for another conversation with The Hollywood Reporter where he talked about Diddy calling him for shopping. Cent called it a weird request and added:
"I'm just like, 'Naw, I'm not f*cking with this weird energy or weird sh*t,' coming off the way he was just moving. From that, I wasn't comfortable around him."
Cent mentioned that he and Diddy were not friends since their relationship was only about business. He further stated that none of them would be disappointed with each other if they did not speak at all.
50 Cent and Diddy reportedly had problems with each other over the years. According to Cosmopolitan magazine, the duo's issues started when Diddy did not release Mase from his contract at Bad Boy Records in 2006, aiming to join Cent's company G-Unit.
Cent responded by releasing a diss track titled Hip-Hop which hinted that Diddy was well-aware of the person who murdered The Notorious B.I.G. in 1997. However, the problems between Cent and Diddy were resolved later and they also performed with Jay-Z a year later.
Diddy is currently dealing with several legal issues following his arrest from a hotel in Manhattan on September 16, 2024. The charges against him included s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
His trial is scheduled on May 5 next year and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, as per CBS News.
