Drake and Lamar’s rap feud escalated in the second half of 2023
The Internet recently reacted to Drake’s Instagram story, where he quoted Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us. This happened after the Toronto rapper posted a viral video on his Instagram Story of his doppelgänger performing Hotline Bling during a boxing match.
A few months back, during their rap feud, Lamar dissed Drake with the same track. Kendrick also named his LA Pop Out show after the track.
Since the early 2010s, Drizzy and Lamar have had problems. After Drake and J. Cole collaborated on First Person Shooter and called themselves the "big three" with Kendrick Lamar in October 2023, the feud escalated. Then, on March 22, 2024, Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar released Like That, in which he took a jab at Drake and Cole.
On April 19, Drizzy then released his Kendrick diss track, Push Ups and on April 24, he released a second diss track, Taylor Made Freestyle.
On April 30, Lamar fired back with the release of Euphoria. Less than a week later, he then released another diss on Drake with 6:16 in LA.
Later that day, Drake responded with Family Matters, calling Lamar a domestic abuser and claiming that producer Dave Free was the father of one of Lamar's children. He also made accusations that Lamar allegedly cheated on his fiancée, Whitney Alford.
Soon after this, Lamar released meet the grahams, and accused Drake of being involved in s*x trafficking, being a s*xual predator, and being the father of another child born out of wedlock. He further alleged that there are p*dophiles in the OVO camp and that he struggles with alcohol and gambling.
The following day, Lamar released Not Like Us, in which he made more accusations against Drake for p*dophilia and for disdaining the rap scene. Drake retaliated on May 5 with The Heart Part 6, drawing inspiration from Kendrick Lamar's popular Heart series. Kendrick recently released a music video for Not Like Us, which took more jabs at Drake and his label OVO Records.
