Wack100 recently commented on Lil Durk's legal issues following his October 27, 2024, arrest on a murder-for-hire charge connected to August 19, 2022, in connection with Quando Rondo's murder attempt. In an interview with DJ Vlad, uploaded to VLADTV on October 29, Wack100 discussed Lil Durk's arrest further.
The host Vlad spoke up on Quando's successful career, saying that the latter has accumulated a huge fan following through his projects and performances. He also recalled the time he spoke to Lil Durk and said:
"I've been around Durk. I've interviewed him twice. We've hung out a little bit here and there. I don't get that energy being around him that this is a ruthless, you know, gangster, killer type dude."
In response, Wack100 elaborated on how the authorities work where they only care about someone's "actions within the means of law." He then spoke about Durk's situation by saying:
"I believe he fell victim to the propaganda of the naysayers, of when you going to slide for Von."
Notably, the murder attempt on Rondo was reportedly planned by Durk after King Von died in 2020. Also known as Dayvon Daquan Bennett, Von was a part of Durk's rap collective OTF and was allegedly shot dead by Rondo's associate.
Wack100 speaks on the shooting incident that was reportedly aimed at Quando Rondo
In the latest interview, DJ Vlad referred to the fact that the murder attempt on Quando Rondo led to the death of someone else. However, Wack100 said that he had no idea what exactly happened on the day of the incident and added:
"The scary part about this is that intersection. You're dealing with guns with switches on them. Brother that intersection is very busy. Bullets is flying, right? Anybody could have got hit. Everything right there in that intersection. Thank god that didn't happen."
During the shooting incident, Rondo's cousin Lul Pab was shot dead when the duo stopped by a gas station near Beverly Center, Los Angeles. According to Vibe magazine, the suspects left the place in a white vehicle, and Pab was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following his arrest, Lil Durk's key to the Illinois city of Village of Broadview was also taken away. The news was confirmed through the Facebook page of Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson on October 27. While Vlad was addressing the same in the interview, Wack100 responded by saying:
"It's another hit because that was a way out for a lot of youngsters in the streets. That door is closed. You know you got Diddy going through what he's going through and Durk, just start his climb. They claiming they got wire tapes. I think ultimately they came to guinea because it was like they seen the change. They seen like okay, this dude is going all the way clean straight."
As mentioned, Lil Durk formed the rap collective OTF, and five members of the group were arrested last week on October 24 for being reportedly involved in Durk's plans to murder Quando Rondo. As per ABC News, a federal complaint filed at the U.S. District Court of the Central District of California on the same day also claimed that OTF members were allegedly involved in violent activities like murder.
