Diddy is accused of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in pr*stitution after his arrest last month. Since his arrest, many celebrities have shared their opinions on Diddy. On Thursday, October 3, comedian and actor Jay Pharoah shared some new details about the music mogul during his appearance on The Adam Carolla Show.
Adam questioned Jay if he witnessed Diddy getting involved with any kind of alleged s*xual acts and the latter replied by saying that he had known Sean over the years. Pharoah even recalled the occasions when he met Sean and stated:
"He gave me creep vibes… He was trying to get me to sign to his lawyer and I didn't."
Pharoah mentioned that Sean's attorney allegedly tried to give him a few options, aiming to make him a client. However, Jay then decided to step back from the same and he also said:
"Do you know any Bad Boy [Records] artists who had a career after they got signed to Bad Boy? Besides Faith [Evans] who really didn't even have a luxurious career like some other R&B singers. None of them. So why would I sign with you, or anything affiliated with you?"
Jay also said that he is a "sacrificial lamb" considering that he works in the music industry and added:
"I don't want that sh*t to happen. You know what I'm saying? You're a cheek clapper. You clap cheeks."
Adam's question emerged out of another discussion where he and Jay addressed the claims of actress Kat Williams about Diddy when Williams appeared on the Club Shay Shay podcast in January 2024. Williams stated in the conversation that he was invited by Sean to a party and he had to refuse the same.
"Just to protect my integrity and that virgin hole I was telling you about right? 'Cause P. Diddy be wanting to party, and you got to tell him no," Williams said.
A grand jury indictment after Sean's arrest revealed that evidence related to alleged s*x events called Freak-Offs were discovered during the raids conducted at his houses in March 2024. While he was not granted bail by the court, several other alleged accusers have now come out to speak about their experiences as soon as attorney Tony Buzbee decided to represent 120 alleged victims.
Diddy hotline receives thousands of calls in a single day
The 54-year-old is currently awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. However, attorney Tony Buzbee claimed at a press conference on October 1, 2024, that he would represent 120 alleged victims of Diddy.
Buzbee's co-counsel Andrew Van Arsdale also confirmed the launch of a s*xual assault hotline during the conference for anyone else who was reportedly abused by Sean in the past. Notably, a few incidents involving the alleged victims happened back in the 90s.
As per the latest update, the hotline has recorded around 12,000 victims in a day. While speaking to Law & Crime, Tony Buzbee confirmed the figure and continued:
"So, our Herculean task is to try to sift through every one of these calls and make sure that we're identifying those who are victims and those who are witnesses and collect evidence."
Buzbee originally revealed through a social media post that he was planning to represent 50 alleged victims of Sean, writing that a few incidents were reported and describing each story as "gut wrenching and heartbreaking." He even requested anyone who has been abused by Sean to get in touch with his law firm.
Tony claimed that over 3,000 victims have come forward, ready to file separate lawsuits against Diddy. He added that 25 of the victims were minors at the time of the alleged abuse.
Meanwhile, Sean will be taken to court on October 9, 2024, and his legal team has also been joined by two new attorneys, Anthony Ricco and Alexandra Shapiro, who applied a notice of intent to appeal for his release on September 30. Although Sean applied for bail twice after his arrest, they were rejected by the court.
