Kendrick Lamar has taken the internet by storm after surprise-dropping his sixth studio album, GNX, last Friday, confirming rumors that he was working on a follow-up to 2022's chart-topping album Mr. Morales & The Big Steppers.

Since GNX's debut on streaming platforms, multiple tracks and lyrics from the project have been quoted online for being fueled by West Coast energy, credited to Sounwav, who assisted in producing the entire LP.

Kendrick's co-producer team includes DJ Mustard, Kamashi Washington, and Jack Antonoff, who assisted in producing the 12-record LP. GNX also hosts features from frequent collaborator SZA, who appears on two records, namely luther and gloria.

Other artists who feature on GNX seem to predominantly hail from in and around Kendrick Lamar's hometown, Compton. Upcoming rappers like Lefty Gunplay, Dody6, Az Chike, and more, make appearances on the album.

New rumors have surfaced since the release of GNX, detailing another upcoming project, which many believe will be a "Deluxe Version" of Kendrick's sixth studio album.

Lefty Gunplay appeared as a guest on Bootleg Kev's podcast yesterday (November 29) seemingly confirming the Compton icon was gearing up for the release of GNX Deluxe.

"I rapped on [Kendrick's] beats, I got some stuff. I know he's got a Deluxe version coming out, so I don't really know what he's got going on. He's very secretive. But when you kick it with him he's cool man, it's just his team man, you know, they're professional as hell"

Several fans took to reposts from media outlets like NFR Podcast to share their thoughts on Kendrick dropping a Deluxe for GNX. One individual claimed that K-Dot wished to maintain the "hype" around his music till February when he will be headlining the Super Bowl LIX halftime show.

Several individuals were seen commenting on Lefty's relationship with Kendrick Lamar and his feature on the track tv off.

"Buddy just repeated "crazy scary spooky hilarious" over and over for the last two seconds of the song and said I rapped on that beat," a user commented.
"I think what I like the most, is that I know that people are only saying something because Kendrick gave the green light.," a user cited.
"I doubt Lefty would lie... could drop this week if there’s a deluxe," another added.
"I believe it. Lefty was in the studio with Kendrick. I'm pretty sure he know something and if we getting more songs for the "GNX" album, I am here for that sh*t. Let's go!," an excited fan stated.

Some individuals were seen claiming that Lefty's statements could potentially ruin his relationship with Lamar, followed by allegations of him leaking tracks.

"This guy signed an NDA when working on the album. Now he's out here telling plans that only Kendrick and his team should be talking about. How to f**k up connections," one individual claimed.
"This dude verse was cut bc he kept leaking tracks. "Lefty Loose Lips"... the back story on him is wild," another alleged.
"I wouldn’t believe it but [Lefty Gunplay] is 30% wock so I think he just forgot it was a secret," another claimed.

More reactions followed from critics who took shots at Kendrick Lamar and GNX, calling the rapper's sixth studio album "trash".

"THIS ALBUM IS TRASH ASF. OFC HE NEED DELUXE TO INCREASE THESE LOW SALES. PEOPLE NEED TO STOP BE DELUSIONAL. I HATE THIS ELF," a critic claimed.
"Nah. Don’t drop a deluxe. Just drop the real album before the year is over," said another.
"Tell him to keep it we want a conscious album in Feb/Mar," an unhappy fan stated.

"325k!... What The F**K" - DJ Akademiks speaks on rumors surrounding Kendrick Lamar's GNX debut sale projections

Chart data analyst, HitsDailyDouble, recently posted their projections for Kendrick Lamar's GNX, citing that the rapper's sixth studio album will supposedly sell over 291,000 album-equivalent units.

The data suggests that GNX will top Billboard's album charts after seemingly generating over 300 million on-demand streams across major DSPs. If true, this would mark Kendrick Lamar's fourth consecutive No.1 album, following up on 2022's Mr. Morales & The Big Steppers.

Today (November 29), NFR Podcast shared a clip from DJ Akademiks' livestream where the hip-hop internet personality shared his reactions to tweets that suggest GNX would debut at No.1 on Billboard 200 after selling over 300,000 album-equivalent units.

Akademiks explains his intention for peer and rap superstar, Drake, to be aware of his honest reactions to artists', especially those he doesn't like, pulling in massive album sales.

"325K! Goddamnit... What The F**K! I need to teach Drake what I do when I don't like n----s and they dropping. Yo when Meek was dropping, I couldn't say a word, I couldn't say a tweet."

Akademiks even references Drake's beef with Meek Mill, in 2015, explaining how during the beef he couldn't "say a word," seemingly out of respect for the OVO CEO.

Although these sale projections are unconfirmed, if Kendrick Lamar's GNX does over 320,000 album-equivalent units next week, it would mark the largest hip-hop album debut for 2024.

Currently, this record is held by Tyler, The Creator's Chromakopia, which debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200 and held that position for three weeks after selling over 299,500 album-equivalent units in its first week.
