Netizens have reacted to the popular retail company, Fashion Nova, seemingly mocking Drake by launching a BBL Drizzy Halloween costume on their website.
Named 'BBL Booty Butt Pad Costume Accessory', the costume's advertisement features a model with a black hoodie with "Papi" written on the front. Longtime Drizzy fans would know that "Papi" was one of Drake's oldest nicknames.
Furthermore, the model's hairstyle looks similar to the one Drake fashions at present. He is also seen wearing multi-colored hairclips - the same ones worn by Drizzy in the music video for 8AM In Charlotte. Finally, the model has a hanging backside - a reference to the longstanding rumors of Drizzy undergoing a BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) surgery.
Fans were quick to hop on to X and tweet their opinions on this alleged mockery. While some lambasted the retail giant and implored the rapper to sue, others noticed the funny side of things. Popular comments on X are as follows:
"He got to sue them," wrote one on X.
"Y’all can’t hate Drake this much now," opined another.
"Hope he sues and they have to shut down," tweeted one netizen.
"Nah I gotta see the video from this photoshoot because I know they were cackling in there," joked one fan.
Many fans wrote about mistaking the model for American rapper Dave East.
"Man I thought that was Dave East," wrote a fan on X.
"Bro is that Dave East," wrote another.
One netizen chimed in tweeting that they wanted to see the footage of the photoshoot.
"Nah I gotta see the video from this photoshoot because I know they were cackling in there," wrote the fan on X.
"That sounds hilarious! Fashion Nova always knows how to make a statement with their costumes," tweeted another.
Drake's alleged Brazilian butt lift rumors have been widely discussed in various tabloids and a multitude of diss tracks by other rappers. The trolls were first started by Rick Ross, who rapped about cosmetic procedures in Champagne Moments:
"Yeah, you had that surgery, that six-pack gone. That's why you wearin' that funny sh*t at your show, you can't hide it," rapped Ross.
Kendrick Lamar, meanwhile, slammed Drake's alleged cosmetic procedures in Euphoria, saying:
"Let your core audience stomach that, then tell 'em where you get your abs from."
