YSL co-founder Fremondo Crenshaw has recently supported Gunna in a statement shared through his Instagram Story on August 4, 2024. Notably, Gunna was one of those arrested on RICO charges in 2022 and was sentenced to five years alongside probation with certain conditions.

Also known as Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, he was later released and while Young Thug continues to serve his sentence, the former was referred to as a "snitch" since he was able to save himself from being sentenced.

Crenshaw wrote in his statement that he was wrong to call Sergio a "rat." He started by writing:

"I'm man enough to say I should've never spoken about the Gunna situation because technically he didn't rat. He just kinda folded under pressure & should've just stayed down with his mans till everything was over cause all the originals know he ain't did nothing wasn't even around from the beginning."

Crenshaw even expressed regret for everything Sergio had to suffer for all this time and wrote:

"He wasn't going to do no real time regardless I feel bad cause now a n*gga who literally is a real live rat running around the city getting glorified & smiling like he ain't just send multiple n*ggas to jail."

While Giavanni Kitchens is yet to share a response to Fremondo's statement, the latter described himself as a "real n*gga", adding that he was wrong to call Sergio a rat. He said that it was impossible to take his words back and continued:

"I just have to stand on what I said & take whatever comes with it. No funny sh*t, I am glad Gunna out here putting the brand/label on his back."

Gunna's One of Wun music video receives positive feedback

The 31-year-old's latest album One of Wun came out on May 10, 2024, and managed to leave an impression on his fans. Meanwhile, the music video for the title track, also called One of Wun, was released on Monday, August 2 and it features the rapper portraying a different kind of character.

Gunna plays a basketball coach in the video and he can be spotted taking part in a game happening at the Overtime Elite Youth Basketball League arena. The artist appears in two different forms where the initial character wears sunglasses. On the other hand, the other character is shouting from the side.

Both the teams win towards the end of the video and the cheerleaders then run towards the court. The video is also trending due to the cameo of Jeffrey Williams Sr., father of Young Thug. Apart from him, the video also features the members of Overtime Elite such as Tyran Stokes and Parker Robinson.

The College Park, Georgia native also wrapped up his Bittersweet Tour on June 11 this year. The event started on May 4, 2024, at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus and covered multiple locations such as Minneapolis, San Francisco, Houston, and Philadelphia.

In an interview with Complex last month, Gunna addressed the response to the final show in Atlanta and described it as the "best show of the whole tour." He further stated:

"[It felt] overwhelming, but I felt the love. I just remember being ready and praying. Talking to God and talking to my family and letting them know I'm about to put on a great show."

Sergio's new album has sold more than 90,000 units and reached the second spot on the US Billboard 200. It features 20 songs in the soundtrack.
