Andre 3000 talks about the rappers he's met over the years
During his latest conversation with Crack magazine, Andre 3000 spoke about the rappers he'd come across throughout his career. He said that he could not understand anything about what they were "rapping about" and had to question them about the same. He further stated:
"Some of the best braggadocious rappers in the world, and we love them for that – but it's so much easier to do that for the rest of your life. I don't necessarily rap like that. Our formulas are different."
He even addressed his beard look, saying that it feels weird since he is about to turn 50. He added:
"I feel about 38, maybe 36 years old. I knew my vitality at 36 and I still kind of feel that way. But then I look in the mirror and be like 'Nah, n*gga you 50.'"
Furthermore, Andre 3000 recalled his work on his first solo album, New Blue Sun, which came out last year. He said that although the album is not completely perfect, there is a "power" in the project. He continued:
"You can hear something forming, something new happening. That's what I love about it the most."
Notably, New Blue Sun reached the 34th spot on the US Billboard 200 and was praised by critics and audiences. It included eight songs in the soundtrack.
