Blueface’s father, Johnathan Porter Sr, shared a message on social media on August 18, 2024, to update fans about the status of his grandson, Chrisean Jr, amid the rapper serving his prison sentence.
Porter Sr shared a clip of Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s one-year-old son via an Instagram reel and revealed in the caption that the youngster misses his parents and grandfather. He also mentioned that the child has made a lot of progress in his parent’s absence.
“Free Blue Free Chrisean. Got a chance to speak with jr. the other day he miss his mom, dad, & grandpa. Y’all are going to very surprise with his progression that he has made when he pops back on the scene.”
The reel included clips showing paintings of Blueface and Chrisean and an image of Chrisean Jr sitting on what appears to be a car seat.
Earlier in August 2024, Blueface was sentenced to four years of prison for violating the terms of his probation. Meanwhile, Chrisean Rock could reportedly face eight years of a prison sentence for alleged drug-related charges. The rapper is yet to be officially sentenced.
Fans of the rapper duo have been asking for updates related to Chrisean Jr. The child has reportedly been in good care in his parent’s absence. As per Blue’s mother, the child is being taken care of by a trusted caregiver chosen by his parents.
What happened to Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s son, Chrisean Jr?
In a conversation with The Shade Room, Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, revealed that her grandson, Chrisean Jr, is in the custody of a trusted caregiver selected by his parents. She added that she would be willing to take care of the child if required.
“I also let my son’s team know behind the scenes. I text them and told them I would pull up and take the baby if he needs me, too. Him and her made a decision where they wanted the baby go, so I respected that,” she said.
On August 7, Chrisean Rock was transferred to Oklahoma under police surveillance. She is currently in jail after facing charges of distribution of a controlled substance, possession with intent, and possession of CDS without a tax stamp, according to the documents obtained by TSR. As per XXL, the rapper could face up to eight years in prison. Her next court date is yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Blueface is also currently in prison. His last court hearing was on August 9, when he was sentenced to four years in prison. In a video shared on social media, his father revealed the decision and said:
“Y’all could probably tell by the way I look… they gave him four years.”
Taking to Instagram, Blue’s mother, Karlissa, thanked her followers for their love and shared that her son took accountability for his actions in court. She said:
“I want to get on here and thank everybody for all the love and all the support today, all the prayers. I seen all the prayers, and I thank y’all so much.”
She continued,
“I don’t want y’all to think that God didn’t show up today because he did. If you was in the courtroom, you heard Johnathan [Blueface] take accountability, and Johnathan sound like Johnathan. He’s in his right frame of mind.”
Meanwhile, Blueface teased the release of new music via his Instagram story through a phone call from prison this month. The rapper is yet to declare an official release date for the same.
