A photo of an alleged couple taken at a Chris Brown meet-and-greet is making its rounds online. The image was first shared on the Reddit forum r/Breezyofficial by user u/themechanicaldummmy on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, with the caption:
"This couple paid $1,100 for Chris Brown's meet and greet."
The photo featured Brown sitting on a chair while holding the girl as her partner stands awkwardly on the side. The girl's t-shirt reads, "My boyfriend is literally on stage."
While the details about the image remain unconfirmed, internet users were quick to claim the man got "played." One wrote:
"He paid $1100 to get played."
Many continued to quip about the situation, with one even saying the pair needs to break up. Here are some comments seen on Facebook:
However, others pointed out that the image is most probably photoshopped and made for engagement.
"Ima go all out for my fans!!!!"- Chris Brown about his $1000 meet-and-greet packages at concerts
Since Chris Brown's One Of Them Ones Tour with Lil Baby in 2022, the R&B singer has included special meet-and-greet sessions. Fans get to meet and take photographs with the singer personally. Per a June 2024 report by the Vibe, photos shared by fans show Brown bending fans over, kissing their cheeks, and picking them up.
These sessions are part of special packages available to purchase along with the show tickets priced at $1,000 (or more).
According to an August 2022 article by Revolt, Brown defended these meet-and-greet sessions in an Instagram story (shared on August 1), saying all artists have such "VIP packages," adding that he hadn't done one in seven years (then).
"I have the coolest fans on the planet .. I appreciate the f*ck outta them. These are memories that will last with them forever."
Chris Brown reasoned that $1000 is nothing compared to a "lifelong memory." He continued to explain that it was a way for him to express his gratitude to his fans. Quoting the singer, Revolt wrote:
"Unlike most of these lame a** artist that won’t make eye contact with the people who made it possible to even have a career. I only exist because these fans saw something in me I never thought was possible.. So ima go all out for my fans!!!!"
During his recent 11:11 Tour (in support of his eleventh studio project of the same name). In honor of the tour, the meet-and-greet packages were priced at $1,111. Per Vibe, the cost included two signed personal items, an 11:11 calendar, a tour gift, a VIP laminate, a signed 8×10 photo, early entry to the show, and a picture with Chris Brown.
Photos from the session circulating online show Brown grabbing fans' "booties" with both hands. It is to be noted that the R&B artist restricted the sessions to 20 fans per city.
Brown has not publicly reacted to the photo. It remains unconfirmed whether the photo was edited.
