Tyler, The Creator spent part of his 30-minute mini-concert in Boston on Halloween, October 31, 2024, calling out Taylor Swift fans for trying to cancel him over lyrics of old songs. The musician donned his full Chromakopia getup while standing on top of a green shipping container when he addressed the audience, saying:

"I got Swifties all mad at me with their racist a**. Bringing up old lyrics, b**ch, go listen to 'Tron Cat,' I don't give a f**k h*e. I don't give a f**k b**ch. They gonna bring out the old me."

While Tyler, The Creator didn't clarify which lyrics he was referring to, the artist did bring up Taylor Swift's name in a s*xualized way several times in his old songs like Fish and Nightmare from his 2011 Gobin album. In his comments, the rapper referenced his song Tron Cat, where he raps about r*ping a pregnant woman.

Other netizens also slammed Tyler, The Creator for trying to play the victim and for allegedly using the race card to get out of the criticism he's receiving from Taylor Swift's fans online.

"Disliking someone's misogynistic and sexist lyric isn't racism just fyi," an X user wrote.
"Pretty sure the fanbase boosting the economy of every city Taylor tours is not the jobless one... nobody [h]as ever brought up race, he is the only one doing so to play victim when it's never been about race, his lyrics are disgusting and they mention Taylor," another X user commented.

"The way I never saw any post about race but as always they bring the race card to justify their nasty behavior," an X user pointed out.

More netizens called out the irony of the Chromakopia rapper being b*tthurt because people online are criticizing him for writing lyrics about r*pe and violence.

"Obviously not a swiftie but why is it getting to him so bad. Bros getting b*tthurt cuz he doesn't wana be called out anymore LMFAO," an X user wrote.
"So he won't apologize for writing lyrics about r*pe and violence. Got it. But we're the bad ones. We have to laugh," a user on X commented.

Although Chromakopia was released on a Monday, instead of the standard Friday release day, hence the shortened release week, it still made enough grounds to become #1. It's now Top 1 on the Top 100 Official Albums Chart in the UK in the week of November 1 to 7. It bested Courteeners' Pink Cactus Cafe, which held the lead until Thursday, October 31.

Tyler, The Creator's Chromakopia also bests his previous albums Igor in 2019 and Call Me If You Get Lost in 2021, which both achieved Top 4. The rapper is also kicking off his Chromakopia world tour in February, starting with dates in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.
