DDG’s son Halo became an internet sensation after the rapper shared a video of him taking a toy train ride. Internet users took screenshots of the video to circulate memes across social media platforms. In the original memes, Halo made an expression mixed with concern and fear. Reportedly, the rapper took his son for a train ride again to recreate the viral meme.
In the latest video making rounds on X, DDG was seen holding his son as the train moved. The rapper also made attempts to keep his son entertained, but from what it appears, Halo might have been a little scared during the ride. He was seen holding onto his father’s leg. As the ride went on, the rapper said;
“Woo! Uh-oh. Don’t wanna. Woo! I ain’t scared no more, I’m big boy. I’m a big boy, I’m not scared no more. Big boy, big boy. You gotta sit back, sit back.”
This has made fans go into a frenzy as they had a lot of reactions. One X user wrote:
“He’s not beating it.”
Some internet users wrote how the recreation was different from the original one. Others talked about DDG’s son’s expressions.
“He’s never reaching these heights,” another X user commented.
“They really right nun beats the original,” a person commented on X.
“DDG won’t leave him alone,” a netizen wrote.
“That’s just his natural face,” an X user reacted.
Many netizens commented on how the Impatient singer was using his son to create content.
“Ddg using his son for content now,” another person reacted.
“bros gonna drag the meme out like he did with his song,” a person reacted.
“What happened to not wanting his son to be turned into a meme,” an X user wrote.
DDG and his wife Halle Bailey welcomed Halo in 2023
Reportedly, Halo was born in 2023 but it was not until January 2024 that Halle Bailey shared the first photo on Instagram. On January 6, she posted a photo of Halo’s little hand with a gold bracelet with his name engraved on it. She wrote:
“even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo, the world is desperate to know you.”
Concerning the memes circulating online, DDG was surprised at how the whole episode turned out. On August 31, he wrote on his X account:
"Who made my son into a meme".
However, he seemed to enjoy it as he reposted a meme with Halo’s face, that said:
"Me looking at my bank account after a spending spree."
He also wrote the following on the same day:
"My son more lit than me, I love it."
However, the memes were not far away from criticism. On September 3, an X user wrote that they were tired of seeing the baby, by referring to the memes becoming viral. The rapper then reacted to the same by reposting the comment with the caption:
"nobody asked u."
